Hi,
I have an affiliate review site for which I'm affiliated with multiple ecommerce sites (not Amazon), through multiple affiliate networks.
On my reviews, I lin
Unless there are plugins that update prices for you like the one Amazon has, I'd consider Rosie's idea!

Can you say more about Amazon plugin? I did not know about it. So you have an item from Amazon in your review and the price is updated?
oooo...afterthought....you could also put something in there like "for the most current price....click here"...and your affiliate link?
Yes, that was what I was planning to do if there is no easy solution. Apart from being maintenance-free, it might actually improve CTR, but it's a bit less user-friendly.
If you can, get in touch with the vendor and see if such an option is available? Or you might consider giving a 'general' price range...????
Actually sent an email to an affiliate manager, who responded that I could use a feed. I'm currently using an affiliate feed on another site, but that solution pulls in all kinds extra data that I don't want to show on this site. I think you can somehow edit what you want show, but I'm not sure how.
Showing a general price range will kind of defeat the purpose, as it'd pretty much show the same price range for all vendors.
Can you put an affiliate link to the product that shows instead of typing the price in text?
Yes, some of the affiliate programs offer so-called 'Product links', that actually show the price and automatically update when it changes. However, this is not available for all of my affiliate partners, and the product links from different affiliates also look different, which means it'll look really messy on my site if I want to show them side by side.

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to start an e-mail list for one of my sites. I'm currently looking into different services like Aweber, Mailchimp and more, and looking up tons
I'm stuck with the same issue, so thanks for asking Guido!
At this point, I already have a free MailChimp account that I don't dare to configure yet...
Thanks for the question. I am getting ready to get an Auto Responder and was considering AWeber. Now I may checkout Mail Chimp. Thanks again. Good luck with your website.
Mail chimp is free for the first batch of emails but beware after that because you cannot change after. They keep you emails as hostage. Awebber is the best of course but not if you want to spend the money.

Things like keeping e-mail addresses 'hostage' is why I'm thoroughly researching this before jumping in. Thanks for the heads up!
Hey Glob, I did a quick search and found http://www.listwire.com/ checking it out myself...hope this helps...good luck
Hi Glob:
I believe both Aweber and Mailchimp are good. Mailchimp is quite popular, most campaigns received come through Mailchimp..
I have belonged to Aweber for around 5 years, and cannot fault it. As Claire below has said Mailchimp is a reputable service, and you can grow with it so that may be a better option for you if its free to start. Paul
Hey Guido, I'm using mailchimp and it's free for up to 12,000 mailshots, to 2,000 people. I don't expect I will reach that limit any time soon. They also have a plugin which you can easily use to customise the opt-in form to match your site's colour scheme etc. And, I had a play around with the email builder tool and was quite impressed with what you can do with it.

I signed up with Aweber for a month and it cost me $1 you can cancel after that. I discontinued due to studies - once I have my website up and running I will build my list of contacts and will probably use Aweber - I can't think of any paid auto responders
The advice I was given by a very experienced marketer is to use an auto responder right from the start. When you collect emails via a plugin and then try to import your list you'll have problems because of optin rules.
I followed this training How to Create Your List for Free
When I tried to import my list to paid auto responder, right enough the import was refused. Wasn't a major thing for me as I only had a few but the person who advised me lost a BIG list.
Mad Mimi has a free option, so worth a try, Angela did training Mad Mimi -- SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!
Hope this helps! :)
Thanks for your reply Kathy!
So you're saying you're not allowed to import previously collected e-mails to any of these e-mail marketing services? So it's not even worth collecting e-mails before signing up for one?
Will look into Mad Mimi.
That's been my experience using a plugin, others might have a different tale to tell! Mad Mimi sounds like best option for you and you can create custom webforms with them. :)
I've used Get Response for an autoresponder in the past and you can import collected emails if you want to.
Mad Mimi sounds great being free. I've heard of OptinMonster, but it's not free.
It didn't work for me, the import was refused, also for the other member I mentioned. Only my experience though, might work differently for other folk :)
Thanks Kathy. I'm also looking for an auto responder & I can't afford Aweber. I will look into the links you have above.

Hi guys, I don't recognize some of these cookies my website is giving off:
This is what I found out about scorecardresearch.com
When a browser loads a page that contains a ScorecardResearch web beacon, a cookie will be set. This, says comScore, allows it to observe "browser-level" behaviour, i.e. how often you return to a website or if, having visited one website, you go to another one that is related.
The data that is collected is used to build up reports on internet behaviour and trends.
What are these cookies and how to delete them from my site?

Hey guys,
I've got my site up and running and joined an affiliate program through affili.net. When I use their linkgenerator to create deeplinks it gives me the following
It does, but I'm still not sure if it works without the tracking pixel. For now, I just placed the pixel outside of the button. My affiliate network is now registering the views on my page, so it should work. But I'll never know for sure until I actually make a sale.
