YouTube Terminates Content Thief

Several days ago, I posted an article about a YouTube member copying content from other sites and creating videos to post on YouTube.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/glenpalo/blog/is-your-stolen-content-on-youtube

At the time, the content thief's YouTube channel looked like this:

The IM Review Central included a number of Wealthy Affiliate members' content.

The purloined content video now looks like this:

One down and probably more to come.

The guy behind this YouTube channel developed a markting training course to teach people to use a vido software application called Your Instant Video Empire (YIVE) by signing up for blog RSS feeds and capturing blog content, and automatically creating videos. The text content of the blog post is converted to speech. The converted text is applied as a video voice over.

The course is $197, but there is a coupon available that makes the course cost $17. It's free if you refer 3.

There are a number of video applications that convert written content into video content. In addition to YIVE, there is News Profix Pro and X-Wave, and, no doubt, more out there.

The software is designed to create fully AUTOMATED self-updating sites that make money and earn commissions every single day from FREE TRAFFIC.

The concept is to take YOUR written content and repurpose it into video for sharing via social media, for example.

However, it is obvious the software is being used to grab other people's content under the pretext of curating content (which is another story) under fair use doctrine.

I used Lumen5, the free version, to create a video of one of MY blog posts and post it on YouTube.

SnazzyIT created some training on how to protect your content.

My word. What will they think of next?!

There are some very creative people.

Holy crap! I had no idea! Thanks for the heads up! Alanna

Amazing isn't it?

It is not a matter of can you do it, but should you do it. So some unethical folks decide they should.

Hi, Glen.
Thanks for the follow-up.
Those videos were horrible. The voice overs were very mechanical (Robotic).
I'm sure the software could be used for proper use but in the case you wrote about, it was complete abuse.

How is the voice quality with Lumen5?

Regards from Canada.

Paul.

You are welcome, Paul. There are a variety of voices available to use from what I have seen.

I only added a music track when I created my video with Lumen5. So I don't know about voice quality unless I record the voice-over.

O.K.
I'll check it out when I get to the point of creating video, which will be soon. I've been told that I have a radio voice, so making voice over videos might be an advantage to me.

Thanks again.
Paul.

You are welcome, Paul.

I have been told that I sound like Academy Award winner, Kevin Costner.

That's amazing. I've told that my voice exacts George Clooney.
To success, Glen.
Stay awesome.

Paul.

Thank you Glen, it's not fair to still other people's ideas.
Excellent content!

Carlos

Thanks for commenting, Carlos.

Cheers.

Glen,

Thank you, letting the community know that people are so
low as to steal content from members here is unforgivable
in my book.

Take care,
Susie

You are welcome, Susie.

Curating and aggregating content is one thing, but plagiarizing and taking whole content is just stealing.

Thanks for this Glen - I was pondering the best approach to protect my content so I really appreciate the heads-up about the training.

I'm glad this particular thief has been removed but I'm sure more will follow.

You're welcome, Phil.

I am sure there are others. I search now and then when I have time.

A very useful piece here, Glen. Writing content is hard work and nobody should be allowed to steal other people's efforts.

Good work, YouTube.

Thank you Glen, much appreciated, and this is definitely just beyond Google omg wonder what else they use our contents for. However your kindness is not forgotten my friend 😄

You are welcome, Saane.

Content is constantly being ripped off. I wrote an ebook in 2000 that is still floating around the internet as part of someone else's content. I usually find it as part of aggregated content.

Now when I make ebooks, my legal statement says feel free to share, but keep it intact.

I am learning new stuff from you now, thanks as I am soon to be creating an ebook for my niche.

I must check out Lumen5... I'm using Screencast (free version).

I was playing around with Lumen5. It did not take long to make a decent video with a music track.

I also use Screencast.

Yea!!!! So good to know. Thank You.

Laura

You are welcome, Laura.
