Working at Home Business Benefits

One of the great benefits of working from home is the opportunity to spend time either looking out of a window or being outside.

Usually one of my cats will sit in the chair next to the window. Depending on which one, he or she will chatter to let me know of something of interest. Usually deer or the neighbor's dog.

One day, I happened to glance out the window and see a Cooper's Hawk swoop and land in one of the backyard trees.

What a majestic bird.

The hawk sat in the tree a few moments before flying off past my window. The hawk's presence may explain why we don't see many wild rabbits any more.

Seeing a low-flying hawk is something I would not have seen in my last job unless I was day-dreaming.

As a former cube dweller, I dreamed of days where I was in charge of my own destiny.

It is great living the dream!

Yes I much prefer working from home than being among the working dead.
Great post and pics. Thanks.

You are welcome, Mickey.

Yes, it is good...I sit at my computer looking at my driveway and the woods beyond. I often see moose or bear, who seem to think my long driveway is a road built just for them.

That must be impressive seeing large animals wandering around. Living in Virginia near the I-95 corridor, I don't expect to see bear or moose in my backyard any time soon. But when we lived in Saudi Arabia, we would see camels wandering down the neighborhood streets.

It is impressive -- I do love Alaska. Now, a camel here would be quite unusual.

Hi Glen.

Boo yeah, that's the dream alright.

What with Brexit looking betrayed, I'm doing my level best to ensure that I can work remotely from some other country, if need be. It's too galling to have to live as an Euro serf after we saw the silver lining.

In the words of the immortal Bill and Ted: "Party on, dude!"

Regards,

It certainly gives us the opportunity to take walks, manage our own day!

It does. I usually walk my dog mid-mornings as a morning break.

Great post!
Yes we are in the best place to succeed
a home business!

Have a great sday!

So glad you are out of the cube and into the world! So much better this way.
Have a great week.

Thanks.

I have been out of the concrete jungle for a few years now. I have absolutely zero interest in ever going back.

Have a great week. 👍

Glen,

If I may also add, I have recently shared 2 brief posts on this very subject here at WA recently: and If we do not take the time to re-evaluate our "career path" and life someone else will continue to evaluate us and to determine both our worth and destiny every single day of our lives.

Blessings!

Good posts, Gabriel. I enjoyed reading them. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind comments Glen.

They are greatly appreciated.

Blessings!

The ‘dream’ of working from home is one of the reasons I joined Wealthy Affiliates . Looking forward to the day my dream comes true... but for now it’s off to work!
Have a great day.

Have a wonderful day, Liz.

It's Monday, So I slept in a bit this morning. Arrived at my home office at about 5:20 am excited to start the new day. I fed the cats and grabbed my coffee. Our dog was not motivated to get out of bed. So she has not been fed yet.

Glen,

I am simply baffled and I do wonder just how do you handle all of the immense stress of your "corporate" work environment at home...

Blessings!

Glen,

Great post and meme, fairly hard to escape its impactful meaning as we start yet another Monday in the land of The Working Dead, aka "workin' for da man".

P.S.: Are we still set to claim the stash of cash and gold bars from that Nigerian billionaire? If so, I may have to call in sick for a few days...

Thanks, Gabriel. I assume the Nigerian authorities are taking care of the money.

Glen,

That is very accurate.

I had to throw them a few bucks in exchange for their securing OUR billions.

They promised to guard OUR billions with tenacity until we reach Nairobi. I trust they will.

They will then arrange for us a private C 1390 Hercules transport plane to allow OUR billions to get over to the US safely.

And so, to sum it all up, it sounds like we will be rollin' in dough pretty soon.

It is not a matter of IF, rather of WHEN.

Blessings!

Absolutely agree with you. The other thing which I love is the fact I don’t have to travel at all, and then the 5 second commute to my home office, on a grey Monday morning does not faze me as I don’t usually get stuck in any traffic!

Thanks for sharing, Hudson. I agree with you about the travel part.

I used to travel so much that I would be greeted by name when I checked into my flights at Washington Dulles.

I used to travel so much that once I calculated I physically spent three weeks in one year sitting inside an airplane.
