Do you know which social networks your target market is using?

I ran across this article in Business Insider that discusses the demographic breakdown of users of the top social media networks.

BI indicates that "gender, income, and education level have little impact on whether or not an individual has adopted social networking as an activity."

One of the interesting facts BI found is:

- "Pinterest has tremendous reach among women. Among US female internet users, 42% reported being on Pinterest..."

The article is worth a read.

Pinterest boards have become hugely popular for interest marketers. I've created one myself and follow another dozen or so.

I have had my Pinterest account for quite awhile. Just did not do anything with it because they made it difficult for internet marketers. But it has gotten better. I have 3 boards now and they all need work/attention.
