Senator McCain Battles Cancer
I just wanted to share this recent picture of Senator John McCain who was diagnosed with brain cancer. He is an American hero.
Our thoughts and prayers are with him as he battles this terrible disease.
Oh by the way, that's my son-in-law standing next to Senator McCain.
Cancer has run in my family. I lost my father to prostate cancer. And I am a melanoma survivor. I have also had surgery to remove the upper third of my colon.
So cancer research is near and dear to my heart.
I encourage everyone to have skin checks as well as recommended colonoscopies. They may save your life as they did mine.

Very sorry to hear this. I really will pray that Sen, McCain will make a great recovery as Jimmy Carter did with cancer a few years ago.
Great picture. I am a cancer survivor (so far) myself so I can relate. Thank you for this post
Maybe former President Jimmy Carter who has had the same kind of Cancer will advise him as to who he was treated by. Dr. Lederman in New York City took care of Carter and he is doing very well. He is a doctor who uses every treatment available including alternative methods to treat cancer. Someone everyone should know about.

President Carter had metastasized melanoma while Senator McCain has glioblastoma. President Carter was given an immunotherapy drug that targets specific cancer, which worked in the president's case. I don't know if they have one available for glioblastoma or not or whether they are doing trials.
My mistake Glen.. I do know this Dr. does brain radiosurgery. What a nice honor your son in law with the Senator. Hoping he has a full recovery from this

I knew about the President's melanoma; just not about the treatment until I looked it up.
We also have a picture of our son-in-law with the new First Lady as well as several with Presidential candidate Trump.

Hi Glen.......the Senator has a nasty one, too........I pulled it up on Wikipedia. We'll pray for him.......it's going to be a tough road.

It reallly is. Joe Biden's son and Ed Kennedy both had it.
He says he'll be back in D.C., but that may be overly optimistic. Keeping him in my thoughts.

I sure hope so. The senator is a fighter!
