Are You Making Money?
Is your business profitable?
Or are you wasting your time building your business?
A business friend of mine gave me some great advice.
“Do something profitable first.”
When you start your business day, your first activity should be doing something that adds profit to your business.
Instead of doing these things:
- reading email
- checking social media, e.g. Facebook
- watching Youtube videos
- shopping on Amazon or other sites
- reading sales letters or mail
- hanging out on Live Chat
Do these things:
- create new content (article or blog post)
- research or review new products
- brainstorm new ideas (Jaaxy is a great tool)
- create new email series on a product for your readers
- do a traffic generating task such as posting on a forum, place an ad, or do a guest post.
- send a solo ad to your reader list
- learn a new marketing skill and implement it right away
Doing unprofitable tasks takes time away from those tasks that generate profits. In fact, you could waste entire day without doing anything productive.
Create profitable habits!
To your success,
Glen

I really need to start doing more research and other traffic generating tasks. Now I'm not saying I'm not earning revenue as I've come off the best month I've ever had in terms of revenue from Google AdSense, but a lot of that was because of a couple of new things I tried that helped with traffic.
I've ended both of them right now, because I used a traffic exchange that increased my bounce rate more and decreased page sessions and I also tried PPC for the first time, but no longer have the funds to continue right now.
So now traffic has dropped back down to just 25-40 new sessions daily after I had enjoyed traffic of 75-200+ daily. I need to start doing more forum posting and more research to see what people really want in my niche as I think I'm not fully grasping that.
Hi Brian. I probably don't look at Google analytics often enough. But I tend to take a long term view. As long as I am adding content, the numbers will pick up. But if the niche is trending up, then my numbers should increase similarly.
