<p> is still showing and I can't add any media

Yes, like Carson says when you edit, you can change that at the top.

Thank you for all the help. Google doesn't want me to use it I guess. I had to go to Firefox to get them to come up. That's the kinda stuff that really confuses me when it comes to browsers. Oh, well.

What Carson says :)

Hey Eric,

When editing your pages and posts on your Website at the top of the editor there are two tabs. One that says "Text" and the other that says "Visual".

If you want to edit in HTML mode, use the "Text" editor
If you want to use the toolbar and formatting options, use the "Visual" editor.

Carson

Carson,
When I change to the Visual editor my entire post disappears! YKES
Anyway, I had written you about critiquing my site before. Please help me straighten this problem out so that I can continue to produce content for my site. Please send me a private message with your findings.
Thanks so much for your help in advance.

Hi Lina,

Sounds like your post was copied from somewhere and has some code in it that is not compatible with your editor.

You will want to remove any code that you've copied and pasted as that is likely the issue. You can do this from the TEXT editor tab.

Carson

Greetings Carson,
I'm not so sure I understand what you meant by your comment:

Any time I use materials from another website I credit the author with it in the form of a link or quote block. I especially do this when stating scientific facts or medical facts/findings because the nature of my site deals with health. Then if there is something to add or some experience I/family have had, I express that in my content. My experiences are my own, original and personal.

Is there something wrong with using this approach?
Is this considered plagiarism?

There is practically "nothing new under the sun" . And that particularly holds true for the information systems in this technical age we live in. If one wants to research just about any subject , all he has to do is " Google it"!
I do also take the time to read books and periodicals on the subject matter I write about.

Can you please explain your comment more thoroughly? Please advise me on how I can improve if this approach is incorrect or unwarranted.
Looking forward to reading your input. Thank you

I'm can't load a picture to my about page, or even add another header

I'm not sure what the problem might be. When you are in your dashboard, you should be able to choose your page (your About Me page) and when you edit that page, there should be a button to "add media" which means to insert a picture. After clicking on that button, you should be able to select a picture from your library or get one off your computer.
Can you explain a little bit about what you are doing and how it isn't working?
Dawn

I go to pages. click on the edit button under the about me page and when the editing page comes up, above the text window, there's none of the editing features or even an add media button. I wouldn't think its on my side. After I add text to the text box and update it, I get, what I guess, is "

" at the begining and ending of paragraphs. I assume that's kinda like programming characters..

If you are seeing things like "

" then I believe you are in "text" mode which is HTML language and not "visual" which is what we have to use to make content.
When you are editing, just above the editing box on the right hand side there is an option for "visual" or "text". Make sure you are in visual when you are editing or trying to add media.
Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

Ok. I'm not seeing anything except(Publish:) and under that things like (Status: and Visibility: and Published On:). Under visibility is (Public, Password, or Private) I'm not seeing anything that your describing. I know I'm a guy at times. I'll look in the morning again. I'm just not seeing it. I do understand the concept of what I should be looking for but I'm just not seeing it.

Ohhhh, you are so close to finding it! If you look just to the left of the word "Status: Published" you will see the two options of "text" or "visual". They are actually in the top right of the box that contains your content. Actually exactly right of the box for "Add Media", Let me know when you find it and if that's the problem.
Dawn

I did find it. But I couldn't find it on my Google browser. I had to go to IE. Even though I'm not a fan of IE, I'll use it to build the site. Thank you so much for the help.
