Do you get on the contacts list by suscribing to the newsletter ?

I'm not a fan of Facebook or Twitter so do I need to be these social sites to get ahead
Everyone is right about reaching your customers anyway you can and social media should be a part of everyone's market plan.
As far as FB goes, you have to set up a personal page before you set up a fan page. You can block your personal page through the settings and just rely on your fan page. If you're promoting something different than WA you could and should post the link to your fan page here as this is a large community and a good place to start networking for your niche.
Chose your posts well and link them to your blog. You can also link to your affiliate links but you want to be careful how much of that you do. I share a lot of content from other blogs I follow, makes it easier than always coming up with my own content and gives you a wide variety of content to chose from.
I think, once you get started with the FP that you will see it's not so bad. Stuff you put on your FP can be posted on Twitter. I'm not a fan of Twitter, but I post there. The only challenge is you have to build you follow list, which takes some time. People will find you and follow you too and that's how your network and your business grow. - Ginger
Hi, Gladys everyone is right its best to use every resource that is available to you to get your name out there. I am not a big fan of either of the two but everyone uses them and they seem to help. So I am going to take their advice and use them as well. Good question.
Social networking is a great way to get traffic to your site when it is new. At least this is what I've been told. If you are wanting to increase traffic, you will need to do all kinds of social marketing, from handing out business cards with your website, to being on a business face book page. Twitter also. Google Plus. Yahoo. And as moldo says, google plus is great, but it is only one of the ways to get the word out.
I post advertisements on free classifieds and that is one way I've gotten members, not through my website being seen on a search engine. I advertised on craigslist and got one member to sign up.
So up to you. But I definitely would recommend all avenues of marketing at the beginning, and being able to track them also, so you know which one is working for you!

Thanks Rick, I figured it would be a good way to go. I'm only just starting up so hopefully it doesn't take long to get friends up.
I have a Google+ account that's been a good place to share WA
No you don't have to, but I would suggest Google+ its a great way for all of us to connect:)
