Growth Comes When You Put In The Effort!

Most Of Us Start At The Bottom.

It's true of anything in life. Nobody reaches the top on the first try. Unless you luck into a winning lottery ticket, there's a process and a learning curve for success in anything, including blogging.

I like to cycle. At 67 years old, I'm still at it. In the last four years, though, I've started to really pursue the sport. I don't ride in competitive races, but I do compare myself now to where I was when I started to get serious 4 years ago.

Since the beginning of 2015, I've logged over 12,000 miles on my bike. I was noticing just yesterday that I'm stronger on the hills, and am faster on the level places than I have been in a while.

Compare That To Starting A Business.

Affiliate marketing is an awesome business model. You don't have to stock products or find drop shippers, deal with customer complaints and returns, or other stuff like that.

Affiliate marketing is a business where you are helping people. You help them make decisions with your reviews (keep them honest, OK?) and connect them with products that they are looking for and desire.

And we get paid to do it.

When you first start learning to ride a bike, it isn't easy. You have to learn balance, how to work the brakes, turn the bike, stuff like that.

It's crazy to think that as a toddler you can get on a bike and go for a 25 mile ride. You're just trying to get to the end of the block.

So, why do we think that we should be getting rich in the first six months after starting here at WA?

Once you learn to ride that bike, are you ready for the Tour de France? Only those who put in hours and hours and days and days and years and years of practice can compete there.

Once you learn the basics of affiliate marketing, only those who put in the hours and hours of writing posts, days and days of writing posts, and maybe a year or two of hard work really begin to make it big.

Making it big is my goal. At nearly 2 years here, I'm not there yet, but I know what it takes to get there.

Do you?

If we do, are we willing to pay the price?

I'm Grant.

Agreed.

Good Morning Grant,

Practice does it and that is why even if we get older can get better at things.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Yep. You’re right. Thanks for checking in.

All very true, Grant.
To become successful in anything, whether it's business or a hobby, continual effort over a long period of time is required. Even when we succeed, attention is still necessary. As the saying goes - if we don't use it we lose it!

I'm still learning, but i'm pretty sure that those who reach their goals are the ones who are willing to do the hard work required. If you don't, you have the option of working harder or lowering your goals. Too many of us do the latter.

Hi Grant,
Yes all so true, it is a road where we must show dedication and consistency. Sometimes I do feel, why, can I do this, am I just writing for myself, does it really matter?
Well there is lots of negatives in my words, aren’t there?
I wish you well here and obviously if you put into WA, your extraordinary motivation and your goals with your cycling, you will be a winner!
Michele

I feel the same way sometimes, especially when I check analytics and see I get like 2 or 3 visitors per day. I see the success of others, though, and it inspires me to keep plugging away, and to lengthen my stride.
