Currently I have six pages on my website is there a limit to the number of pages that I can have on my site?
Also when I go to the menu to try to add, the only thing that I can add are my categories, nothing else is visiblen :-(...I am really new at this...
Gdevening GJeff, I am a starter member. I have 2 pages on my website thus far but I am only able to access one page when I go to review my website....what have I done wrong or what am I missing? Thanks in advance.
Have you put the other one on your list of menus? You need to do that first in order for it to show up on your site. If you haven’t, then go to Appearance – Menus – Pages. Tick the specific page and click Add to Menu and hit Save.
You joined on 21st February so you might not have taken all 10 lessons yet.
The lesson for adding pages doesn't get explained until lesson 9 in the Getting Started Training.
I suggest you do the training first and all your questions will be answered.
It doesn't do to jump the gun. Sp take it one step at a time and it will become clear to you what you have to do.
After you complete those first 10 lessons you have to upgrade to a premium membership to access more advanced lessons and training and you will be shown step by step how to build out your website.

Hi GJ. No there is no limit. However, you do not want every page to display in the main menu as it quickly becomes cluttered. In the page relationship box if you chose a 'parent' page then you start to create drop-down menus of related pages.
As Michelle says, you don't want to have your menu too cluttered with pages.
A good way to organise your site is to make categories, then add your posts to the relevant category. You can put categories on a menu.

There is no limit to the number of pages, but you don't want it to be cluttered up. You could use a drop down menu if that would work for you and it would keep your pages to a lesser amount.
Thanks I currently have 7 but only six are visible on my site, and I'm trying to add the 7th one, but its not showing up.
You can add as many pages and posts as you can possibly put out. There is no limit. The more the better.

It depends on the host. with WA I remember reading someone topped out at either 99 or 999 I think it was the higher number but since you have six you have a lot of space to build content.

How do I check for rankings in google and web traffic?
How to Install Google Analytics Using the All in One SEO Plugin This is all covered in your training.
There are several ways you can do this.
Checking rankings in google: their are some free services out there but your best bet would be getting a subscription to http://jaaxy.com (Kyle here at Wealthy Affiliate created the service).
Checking your web traffic, check out google analytics. It's free and it will analyze more metrics than you could ask for about the traffic coming into your site. You can either install the plug in from wordpress, or you can sign up with google, they will give you an html tracking code and you just copy it into each page (code section) on your site that you want to track.
Anyways hope this helped, if I didn't answer your questions thoroughly just let me know!

There are several ways to do this. I use Google webmaster tools because I can see the average position where Google displays my pages AND what keywords are being used to find those pages on my site.

When do I start getting affiliates to generate revenue
I would be watching my Google Analytics and seeing how much traffic my site is getting. If you don't have the traffic, the affiliate links are not going to do you any good yet.
Writing quality content is the most important thing you need to do for your website from the start. Once you start ranking with your keywords, you should see the traffic slowly follow.
Don't sign up for affiliates too soon. Some actually take a look at your website and want to see quality content before they will accept you into their program. Others give you so long to make a first sale, or they remove your account.
