My first WA birthday
Why Wealthy Affiliate, why 12 months ago
My bio under my profile can answer this question. The reality of it is that I had been searching long and hard for an extra source of income online for quite a while, but having failed grandly - and in fact having been this much close on a couple of times from loosing money - I'd put the idea in the back burner. Then last year there was the realisation that life is indeed too short, no matter how old you grow, to spend it running around like a headless chicken, trying to please this, that and the other. And that's when I started searching again.
Lo and behold, I found WA and joined it on 12 March 2016 - a significant date for me, more so as it was my son's 16th birthday.
And the significance was more so relevant, as I wanted to do something for myself, now that my son is growing older - but I wanted, and still do, want to improve my financial circumstances whilst improving my quality of life for my son and for my family as a whole!
The beauty of WA
Ok, admittedly there are many other platforms that give you a taster of online marketing prospects, and then ask you to join in a Premium membership for a fee, in order to access more lesson. And there are a lot of online affiliate programs out there - and WA is one of them, as it encourages you (but never forces you) to promote the platform so that others can join and you can get paid a commission.
But WA has got more and better, dare I say!
What caught my eye was the amount of learning material available here. And a community that teaches you and supports you like I had never seen before!!!
12 months down the line
12 months down the line I have managed to build 2 websites, I have completed the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course and started on Bootcamp lessons, I have started being more active on this community, hence learned even more, and I have even managed to publish a couple of trainings, would you believe!!
I have started monetising on my websites, albeit in very small figures. Why? Because I haven't produced as many blogs as I should have to make a real success of this!
And that has lead to no WA referrals yet.
Moving on
The journey has not been plain sailing. And even now, I do struggle to balance work, family and Wealthy Affiliate. I realise that it's not getting any easier, as there is more and more to do as I advance in my knowledge.
But, having had a small taster of affiliate earnings, and of the meaning of being part of this community and of online business, I am more determined than ever to carry on, publishing more and learning more.
If I could see the fruit of my hard work after publishing only some 29 posts on one site, and 10 on the other, can you imagine what more production is going to fetch in return?!?!?!
So, bottoms up to another year of WA, and to a better and more successful one!!
