My experience at Wealthy Affiliate - week 38 of 52 part 1

I have to start my regular weekly update by apologising. Yes, I am sorry for not keeping this update as regular as it should be. Because for the last two weeks I have not posted any update (!!!).

Last weekend I travelled to York. We had a family trip to check out a potential university for my son, who is planning on joining higher education next year. But two weeks ago, it's true: I FORGOT!!!

Pacing myself

My life is turning busier again. Again, external factors are interfering with my weekly routine of a mixture of learning and producing content. Yet, in the last couple of weeks I have managed to dish out content at a steady, if not fast rate.

I am dedicating time more actively to marketing my websites. And if this has not brought in any WA referrals, it has however helped with Amazon sales, which is good.

Where I have stalled a little is with the Bootcamp lessons. And this is not good.

Busy September and October

A few months ago I was approached by the local authority I work for, asking if I wanted to take up my seasonal role of election canvasser for this time of the year. This means more money, and with tuition related fees for my son's education looming at the horizon, I thought to accept the offer.

I did canvas last year too, for four weeks, and ... well, I can't say I enjoyed it, but I got on with it. I started canvassing last week again, and I just hate the whole thing.

I am not best pleased that the additional commitment (this year five weeks) will take a lot of my free time away from me working on moving my online business forward. And this is already putting me in a foul mood.

We all need, or want, money - or at least, most of us, I am guessing. But sometimes you need to weigh up how beneficial it's going to be in the grander scheme of things.

I have already vouched next year I am going to give canvassing a miss.

What's in the pot

In spite of the above, ideally I would like to keep producing content at the same steady pace as the last few weeks. I am still sticking to my 'to do' list I jotted down back in August, where I have plenty of ideas for new posts and reviews.

I am in a good place with my head, and I want to keep that momentum going.

But, I must tackle Bootcamp more proactively. I am currently on Phase 5: making videos. I am loosing my initial inhibition - this girl has no shame no more!!! But I still have so much to learn. At times I find the learning part the most rewarding here, but if I don't invest my time into learning more actively, what's the point of being here?!?!?!

And where are you at with your learning here at WA? Have you completed your Certification? And how long did it take you to finish the Bootcamp? As ever, leave your comment below to share your own experience!

You seem really busy. Perhaps you could consider outsourcing some of your business. Just a suggestion.
Congrats on the so far Giulia.

You are right, Peony, I'm starting thinking in that direction... :)

cheers PB

Thanks Phil, much appreciated.

Thanks for sharing. It's good to know that I'm not the only with so many things on my plate.

It's not that I truly believe I'm the only one that is busy, but it is easier to deal with when you know others are in the same position.

Yep, sometimes we need to rein it in though, or else too much on the plate may lead to too much distraction.

Busy lady...Thanks for sharing

You are welcome. But sometimes too busy is not good.

Like taking steps put one piece of content ahead of another Giulia and shine!

Thanks Mike. The good thing with my very long list of niches, is that I can't fall trap of writer's block, as whenever I start typing away, I always have something to write about.

It sounds like you are a very busy lady, Giulia. Don't get too overwhelmed, it's not a good thing!!

Thanks for sharing your story!!
