In Kyle's style: 'here I am again, Giulia at Wealthy Affiliate'. Kyle, if you are reading this, please do not take this as mockery. Far from it!! As in fact I do love your introduction in your video tutorials!!

So, as I was saying. As per usual now for the last 21 weeks, that time has come for me to give you my usual weekly update.

My week so far

My week has started on a slow mode. I did complete a post that I should have published on Sunday night, and I have only posted another review only a few minutes ago. So, all in all, I haven't done much writing at all.

But, on Friday I had a mad moment and posted another bit of training - only my third so far, which however seems to have been welcome quite warmly by the community. So, thanks so much to all those of you who have gone through it and have left a comment. And, if you haven't gone through it, by all means you will find it under my profile here on the right. It's about Fetching and Rendering in Google Search Console, so you might find it useful, and it's not too long, so it should not take too much of your time.

Another good thing I have done this week is start on Course 4 of the Bootcamp. Every time I go through a little bit more of the Bootcamp, I realise what an Aladdin's cave of gems of information it is. Something that we should all treasure here at WA.

What I didn't do

I could have written and published more. But I guess I am slow but sure upping my game.

And, with much regret, I didn't get round to keeping in touch with you lovely community. I think so far I have put together some 1500 email notifications of blogs you have posted this week, and which I haven't even got round to skipping through.

I am constantly reminded of how more important it is to publish and work on my website over contributing on this platform. Nevertheless, it is through your blogs here that I also learn a lot of tricks of the game. So I really feel I miss out when I cannot keep up with your writing.

I hope you can forgive me for that.

Focus is paramount

I was reading on the website Free Writing Jobs a blog posted by one of their members. And again, it was mentioning a few distractions in our every day life that could take us away from our home-based online business. A program on the telly, phoning a friend, cleaning the fridge, hoovering the stairs, or 'I am shattered tonight, I'll wake up earlier tomorrow' are a few of my excuses. What are yours?

The benefits to working from home, and to work to this type of online business, are endless. But in order to succeed, we must focus on the matter in hand, without allowing distraction to interfere and create an obstacle between our current 9-5 job and a brilliant chance for freedom and flexibility.

I wish you all a good and productive week ahead. As per usual, do share your thoughts and leave your comment below.

Still moving in the right direction!

Well, I do try Albert :)

Sounds like a productive week to me and your friend is adorable!! Working from home is amazing!!

He is adorable, my Indy, even if I may say so myself.

And shall I share with you my ultimate goal? It's to work from home full time, so I can spend more time with him, and get him one, or two, more siblings :)

I actually think that your week was a productive one Giulia. What you have accomplished is commendable. You are certainly correct in focusing more attention on your website as this is your business and financial security. Keep up the good work my friend and keep moving forward, slowly but surely.
Jerome

Thanks for your words of encouragement Jerome, coming from you they are even more meaningful. And you are right, more writing, more content, and more Bootcamp lessons should be my objective at the moment :)

I should do a weekly post. I think that would help me.
Thanks!

Well, sometimes I struggle with keeping up with the commitment, but on the other hand, it's that 'having to do it' that makes me put my skates on :)

Thanks for the information.

You are most welcome :)

I commend you for your weekly posts,Giulia. It can be especily challenging when we feel we've fallen short.

I haven't yet implemented this myself, but I'm seeing the need for having some sort of schedule. I used to say that I hate structure, but what I really hate are things that are too rigid. A schedule will give you a sort of guideline, so you can make adjustements, should things come up unexpectedly.

Your dog looks like he's very focused!

You can see what he loves most to be focused on :)

But yes, I have been advised on keeping schedules. But like you, my mind needs to allow flexibility also. However, I found this week, that when I could stick to my mental schedule, I did better.

The problem is that I still allow external factors to stop my flow. And, as you know, I've had sleeping problems for years, which are being addressed finally, where I feel so much better. But as the week progresses, I still get more and more tired. And I need to get on top of that too.

So, as you say, very slowly but surely we'll get there, I hope :)

Thanks for sharing, Giulia.

Roger, you are welcome :)

Giulia, not every week can be a success, when it comes to writing. I too have my share of problems with it, as I, to say the least, don't like writing.
As I can see you did post a training. That is quite an achievement. I didn't dare to do one yet.
I wish you a great start into the new week.

I'm sure Eric, if I could put a couple of training sessions together, so can you! But yes, at first I didn't think I could or would enjoy writing. And sometimes I do get stuck for ideas. This week for instance, I can't stop. I guess it's just a case of training yourself to write, write and write more and again.
Thank you Eric, and have a lovely week too.

Thank you for your great post. It was very timely for me. I have a had a few weeks where I have not been able to dedicate as much time to WA as I would like.

Hopefully back on track and as you said focused on my goals for today.

Sharon

Ypu can do it, Sharon!

As Veronica says, Sharon, you can do it. If you check out my last 2 or 3 weekly updates, I've had really difficult weeks where I barely wrote at all. And when you out of sync with your working pattern, getting back is sooo much harder. Just like when you stop dieting for a week, then getting back to that perfect rhythm is painfully slow and difficult.
Maybe set yourself smaller goals, so that slow but sur you can get back on that saddle and start riding the online business horse :)

Wow. This is so good. I just did my first blog post today. I hope it's helpful.

Thanks for sharing!

-Stephen

Excellent!!!

Stephen, I'm sure it's smashing! I'm heading your way, so I can have a look and I can leave my comment too :)
