My experience at Wealthy Affiliate - week 19 of 52

I feel my journey on WA this year is worse than the one of a jo-jo - ups and downs. And this week for me has been a right and proper down turner.

I burnt the candled at both ends

Far from the dooms and gloom of my more recent weekly updates, I have to admit to you and to myself that this week has not been as productive as I hoped. And this week I have my tiredness to blame for it.

I did manage to go through a couple of Bootcamp lessons, and to keep up with a few posts here on the WA platform. But I completely neglected my social media life.

Not to mention my websites!!! I planned between 2 and 3 posts, and only managed to finally finish a review this afternoon, which I started on Monday.

I think I burnt the candle at both ends!! And by this, I am not referring to the lack of ideas, as in fact I have buckets of them. But, after an overly busy week last week, tiredness has badly caught up with me. As a result, this is the 2nd week where I have been far from creating content as much as I would have liked to.

My pick-me-up tonic

This morning I woke up really early. Which is not unusual for me, and I think my sleepless habits contribute to my constant tiredness. But the early hours of the morning brought the realisation that I could easily fall prey of the dreaded writer's block if I didn't switch my laptop on and started typing again today.

And that is the best medicine, just start typing away. I picked up my review started at the beginning of the week, and wrote away. I also jotted notes for my next couple of posts - I cannot complete them tonight, but they are started. And that's something.

The other carrot that keeps dangling on the tip of my nose is referrals. I had a good bout of referrals a couple of weeks ago, which was a first for me. Unfortunately, none of them have converted to premium yet. But the taster has given me a flavour of what it could be if I press on.

And that's what I want to do this week, I want to start again and more. And hopefully I shall meet some targets.

What's in the bag for you this week ahead? Any specific plans? Or do you already know of some external factors which are going to prevent you from producing content actively? Either way, share your thoughts and leave your comment below.

Everyone goes through ups & downs. It's just a part of life. Just need to make sure you get back up after you hit the ground.
Good luck - you'll be fine.

Thank you ever so much Albert, I hope I have better news to report at the end of this week.

Don't worry, we all have good weeks and productive weeks, and we have weeks full of distractions. You can never be hard on yourself if this happens so I would not be concerned one bit here.

You are doing great, I actually had one of those weeks last week, lots on the agenda but several things took me away from my focus and it felt as though I got nothing done, although I did get stuff done (just not what I wanted lol).

Wow Kyle, coming from the horse's mouth, it makes me feel not as bad. I haven't been productive as much as would have liked for 2 weeks running, and that's undeniable. But there's only one way: UP!!

Hi Giulia. I've also had one of those weeks where I didn't feel like doing anything. In fact, I am starting a post that should have been well and truly completed by now. Sickness and lethargy do not make a productive week!
Looking forward to a better week. Take care.

Oh dear Roy, I hope you are on the mend now. But yes, when struggling, it can become a bit frustrating, especially as your. Ind starts thinking ideas faster than you can action.

keep moving forward and you will get there

Thanks Karin, I must remember why I'm here more often. Because I'll tell you, I've got bags full of motivation!!

Keep going Giulia. Set the goals a bit lower, so as you will manage them or even overshoot them. In one week by now you will be proud to let us know, that you managed to do more than you had in mind.

I just hope you are right, Eric. Thank you.

My goal this week is to complete Course 3 of the Certification courses and hopefully get started on Course 4. We will see how the week goes!

I wish you all the best in completing Course 3, Kristin. Follow the advice of the wiser men underneath, though, and do not over do yourself!

Keep working. Do your best. Be patient. Success will happen

Thanks Pablo, I think stressing out about it will give me the opposite result from the desired one. You are right.

Just clicking into this Giulia, so newsy and interesting, I think that one of the biggest challenges is getting that routine and consistency going we all have come to online marketing with already busy lives it is a condition of living in today's age I am sure. you are not alone and I think many folks will identify with your sentiments.
What I have been doing is taking just one " biggy" and making that the project of the week seems to be an effective way of achieving some good results there is just so much to do, accepting that it takes time removes a lot of stress and allows you to get on with it every step is a step in the right direction.

I've got to try your approach, Alex. My biggest enemy in my 14 months here at WA is lack of time, and trying to eat more than I can chew (just to remain in the world of idioms). And when I look at my previous weekly update, it's starting becoming a constant of mine.
Then again, I am mindful that, if I do not create content regularly and at a speed of at least 2 a week (one for each site, at the very least), my chances of starting monetising will fade away soon enough.
I have had tasters, and know that I can happen. But I am far from ranking consistently high to regularly attracting passive income. And I know that I must press on.

When you have a candle burning at both ends break it in two and do shorter term projects with one unburned end each!

Excellent advice, Mike. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing, Giulia.

Roger, my friend, you are very welcome.
