Ok, before you draw the wrong conclusion, no, I am not going anywhere. I am NOT leaving WA!!! But, where have I been?

You Have Been My Biggest Motivator

Some of you may remember that one of my resolutions for this year 2017 was to write weekly updates, to share with the great WA community my ups and downs in the course of the year. In a selfish way, my ulterior motive wanted to be to find an incentive to be more proactive, if I knew I had to report back to you guys at the end of every week.

Did my little cunning plan work? To an extent. Having your support, and receiving your encouraging words through your weekly comments was the biggest motivator that kept me going week in, week out! For this, as ever, I am massively grateful to all of you :)

But as I got into the Summer, and more so with the Autumn, I found my weekly updates were taking a turn for the worse. What I mean is that I started wingeying. And if I found my updates depressing, how could they be of help especially to new comers?!?!

So, progressively I slowed down in delivering my weekly blogs, and decided to concentrate on rolling up my sleeves and getting on with my content.

What I Have Learned This Year

My biggest enemy this year, like last year, was lack of time. But, unlike last year, this year I was more conscious of what I was missing out on doing or learning - which in a way makes it worse!

Because yes, the first year is confusing. With the second year, things do get more in place. I have to say, Bootcamp has been a tremendous help in bringing order to the ocean of information. I am still to complete Bootcamp, but as I move forward, I find it really helps me move in the right direction with my overall business plan. (yes, even we beginners need to have one, like real pro).

The main thing, however, I have finally learned is about content. Yes, the penny has finally dropped. In order to make this business viable, we need to write, write, write!

Whenever I used to get Kyle's reminders about writing between 2-3 posts a week, I used to shelter behind the lack-of-time shield. Wrong!!!

I have tested this this last few months more than ever. As I start publishing regularly, I start monetising more. As I slow down, my ranking goes down, it misses out in exposure and my potential audience looses interest.

But the greatest achievement of this year has to be the fact that I consolidated so many virtual friendships with many of you, as well as making new acquaintances. I shall never tire to say this: this place is truly the place to be if you look for not only a list of lessons, but for real support readily available 24/7.

My Final Chapter

So, in true GiuliaB's dramatic style (sometimes I really think I should have dedicated my life to the Thespian art #lol), this is going to be my last update.

No, you are not necessarily going to get rid of me permanently. I shall still blog on WA from time to time. But until I have completed Bootcamp, I do want to concentrate my time and efforts on moving my websites forward.

It's not a goodbye, but rather a 'see you soon'.

For now, I wish you all the very best for 2018. May the New Year bring you and your families health, peace and ... yes, why not, all the success that you are all working so hard towards. I can feel it in my bones, 2018 is going to be a great year!!!

Good luck in 2018. I am sure if ypu keep up.the work it will.all come into place

You do what is best for you, get back soon.

I will James, I will :)

I really like the sincere and honest journey sharing posts, we as fellow members can draw so much from them. Thank you for sharing Giulia and all the very best as you continue to work through boot camp.
You raised the concept of creating a business plan, on of the very best strategies that we can have, made more powerful if we constantly refer to it and tweak accordingly.

Don't even go down the road of business plan, Alex! I change mine daily #lol But yes, I'm starting understanding I've got to have one, and I can't keep thinking about it - it's got to be written downs :)

I understand completely. It is easy to get caught up in the community here at the expense of our website. Then tell ourselves that we spent time on WA every day.

We did, but it was constructive only in as far as learning, communicating, and socialising if you will. Blog posts are the exception as they will be ranked by google, so they are a move towards building ourselves on the internet.

For me, all of this time spent here made it easier to neglect my website, which is wrong,

I too need to scale back here and focus there, until there is in a better place. The trouble is I like socialising here.....

Always a dilemma here at WA.

It's bittersweet once one journey ends, yet another is waiting to commence. I commend you, Giulia for embarking on that journey and embracing all that it exposed. The stumbles, detours, doubts, and falls are just as important - if not more so - as reaching the top of the mountain.

Your courageousness has no doubt, encouraged others to take leaps of faith in different areas, so, I thank you!

May you and your family have a New Year that's filled with joy, peace...and success in abundance!

Veronica, my lovely friend, you have a magic way with words, and write so endearingly! Thank you ever so much for regularly bringing a smile in my 'virtual' life :)

You're always welcome, Giulia. It truly is a pleasure reading your posts.

Good decision. We all have to make them from time to time if we are to move forward.

All the best and much success for 2018 and beyond Giulia!
David

Thank you ever so much David. You are right, sometimes you've got to be realistic and prioritise :)

Some of that Italian wine may have helped too!

Young Michael, behave #lol :)

Here's to a great New Year!

Absolutely Dean, a year of fulfilment and achievements!

I look forward to your update about how glad that you are that you took time to finish boot camp .

At first, Sondra, I thought it was a more detailed repetition of the Online Certification. I couldn't be more wrong! Because the more I move forward with the tutorials, the deeper I am thrown into the secret of building strong content and putting together an even stronger marketing strategy. So far, I love it! I am sure I'll love it even more for the remaining of the course :)

I need to take it the. Thanks!

Best of luck in the new year.

Thank you ever so much, Steve, to you too!
