Easter Day Wishes
At the risk of sounding boring and repetitive, I would like to join in the wishes from other WAers, and wish all my new and older WA friends a very Happy Easter, to you all and your families!!
As a Catholic girl, I give Easter the religious connotation of resurrection and never ending life of your soul. Far from discussing the merit of this interpretation of Easter Day - in respect of the rules and regulations of WA -, I cannot help however seeing Easter as the reaffirmation that Spring is finally starting. Or if you are in the southern hemisphere, you will be surrounded by the warm autumnal colours.
Wherever you are, and whatever the weather, I just hope that you spend a lovely and warm day. That warmth that is not only brought in by sunshine, but also by being surrounded by sincere family and friends - those family and friends that you really feel a connection with, those who truly love and care for you.
Since joining WA, I feel that warmth every day. WAers, thank you for caring for me!!!
Much love
Giulia
P.S. Why eggs at Easter? - Eggs have always simbolised rebirth. In Christianity, eggs were associated to Jesus' resurrection. In Medieval times, the tradition of painting eggs red was introduced, again in reference to the blood shed by Jesus when he was crucified. That tradition has perpetuated to these days, where instead of dying chicken eggs, we give chocolate eggs wrapped up in colourful foil as a good wish gift.

Thanks for sharing Giulia. Nice decorated eggs. Did you make them? I hope you were lucky too to get some Easter eggs. Real ones and chocolate ones :)
Have a wonderful Easter holiday.
I'm not half as good and artistic minded to decorate eggs as lovely as the ones of the pictures Eric - don't tell anyone, but those eggs are from Pixabay #lol
And no, I didn't get any chocolate eggs, as I don't eat chocolate. But unfortunately my scales will suffer the end result of my indulging in cakes!!
I hope you had a lovely day too :)
