Use shortcodes easily and without knowledge of WordPress Coding
If you operate your website with WordPress, and often, for example, a call to action button or an info box must accommodate the contents, Short codes are an easy way to do this. Write the matching tags just in between the text; optionally add other variables and you're done.
Working with Short Codes can save you a lot of work and time. But not all can create them manually and according to their needs. Therefore, you can alternatively also rely on a WordPress plugin that offers pre-made shortcodes that you only need to insert. One of these plugins is Shortcode Press. ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/short-code-press/ )
Shortcode Press - use shortcodes without knowledge
The plugin can be downloaded for free in the WordPress Plugin Directory. The free version offers four main features:
• button
• (info) Boxes
• Embedding Videos
• Text highlighting
Once you install the plugin, another tool is added to the WordPress editor, which the short codes can be integrated.
If you click the tool, the above selection is displayed:
And here you now have many options. In the following screenshot is an example of the settings for a button:
Under " Type" you can select the type of buttons, eg Accept, download or info. Then select a colour, alignment, text and link and paste it in the article or page. Here is an example of the 3 above button variants:
On the developer side are more examples to see.
And exactly in this way the info box can be integrated or text be colour highlighted. Of course, the functions can also be combined. It can create, for example, an Infobox with a Call to Action Button.
I hope that this plugin or similars can help you enhancing your website without coding.
