How do I add elements and style to my site? Do I have to learn HTML/CSS/JS?

I just realized you also mentioned elements. What type of elements do you mean?

HTML, I believe I am going overboard. I do not think I should be worrying about any of that. I just better breathe and do more research.

I am wanting my site to look, feel, and smell like "Everything Mom and Baby!" or am I going over the top, overthinking it?

LOL maybe the smell part :)

It may take a bit of experimentation to find the theme you like though with all the options you want to be able to customize.

You don't have to have it perfect all at once though. I would keep moving forward and play around on the side with your themes customizing options, and/or checking out other themes.

Figure out the smell part and I will create websites that features cooking foods from around the world. Sure it would get a good following.

LOL

Once you add your initial theme, you can still change it to a more customizable theme if you find that you need to later.

If you go to your WordPress dashboard and look under Appearance and then Customize there should be some customization options.

Each theme is different though. If you don't feel the theme you first chose has enough options for you, you can find another theme under Appearance, then theme, then look for an add new button.

You can filter for different things in the search, if you click on feature filter, you can check different options and it should show you options you can specify.

Try to choose a theme with a good rating and a fair amount of downloads to get a good one.

You don't have to learn code unless you want to.

Thank you, I absolutely drew a blank. Can you believe I have this as a favorite and forgot all about it? Thank you sdawson :) !

If you want to change the style of your theme, this can be very difficult and many themes will not allow you to change the style

Some of The paid themes come with customisation elements it depends on your theme

Messing around with the code in your theme can lead to problems with your website overall unless you know what your doing

Learning HTML and CSS would take quite some time, I have built WP site for clients and I know the basics

Wordpress is primarily designed for content management rather than re-styling

All WP Sites have a code editor but most will only let you do very basic additions as the theme will be subject to updates and if you change the code this can interfere with up dates and the smooth running of the theme

I hope this helps

Be careful with the code in WP

Hello Barry, Thank you... Maybe I should reword what I mean. So as a Wealthy Affiliate I should focus on writing content and images, and affiliate link placement. Once I have achieved a consistent flow of traffic to my site and my affiliate link is clicked the customer is then rerouted to vendor or merchant??
