Hello WA community,

With the risk of asking ahead of my training, my taking the risk again :)

When I am typing in Google the name of my website it does not appear in the search results. Is that because I am still working somehow offline in the backoffice or is it because there is something wrong with my website and I need to contact SiteSuport?

Just to mention, I am at level 2 of the training.

Thank you guys.

Tatiana

Hi Tatiana, your site is likely on Google, but not yet ranked high because it's new. As you said, you have 1 or a few pages posted, so if you look up your site name (especially if it's a common keyword that is searched), then you'll likely not find it yet.

Continuing the training and growing the site is what I'd do, but what you're experiencing now is totally normal and nothing to worry about. This is how the ranking process always goes.

Hi Vitaliy,

Thank you for your answer. I just found my post in the Google results on page 6 :) Previously I did not have the patience to scroll through the results.
I will focus on the training for now and hopefully improve my search results in the future.

Kind regards,
Tatiana

These results will rise higher and higher the more your site matures/grows Tatiana. This will become an expected thing in time :)

Follow the training and you will find all of this out. You need to do some more work before you are ready to submit your site for indexing. Be patient it is early on in the training. Good luck.

Thank you mstewardit for your reply. I guess I just need to be patient :)

Yes you are jumping ahead and it really isn't advisable.

If you haven't anything on your site yet then there is nothing to be indexed or ranked.

Hi Robert,

Than you for your reply.
I do have one article posted apart from About me page.

Not sure if one article is enough for Google to find my website or if I should just let it go for now and let Google and the training do their jobs :)

As soon as you Publish anything on your site you are 'Live' on the internet and the search engines will crawl your site and index anything that you have published.

Depending on the quality of your article's content will depend on what rank its given.

Hope alls clear.
