Hi everyone,
so, before starting to make my website I have been looking for some info regarding taxes and alike for the last two weeks. I tried contacting our tax department here in Portugal by e-mail, but so far I have yet to receive an answer of any kind, it's leaving me frustrated... so please, if you are portuguese too or know someone from here that could give me an hand, I would really appreciate the help!
Basically, two weeks ago I asked my father's bank account manager what I needed to do in regards to finances before starting to make money with a website.
He told me I should probably consider, since I never worked before, initiating working activity with the finances, in other words, declaring myself as an independent worker.
Also, that I would have to start paying a tax return based on the personal revenue I get from the site, which I was already expecting.
What is confusing me is how do I pay the taxes because all payments are made via paypal and my country's legislation doesn't cover that well... how should I proceed!?
Is there any other stuff I should worry about in regards to this sort of matters?
Let me thank you all for your help in advance, by the way!

Once you start making $ consult with an accountant. That's what I did.

Thanks for the tip!
I recently found a newspaper about this topic and I'm going to try and see if they can explain it to me.
If they can't, I guess I will just get started and do what you said when the money starts to roll in.

Hello,
normally your money would be paid into a PayPal account and you can then transfer it to your local bank account once that money is in your bank account you can transfer it to your bank and that is how you would pay yourself a salary and pay the tax office

Thanks for answering!
I get that process but what I want to know is how do I pay my taxes to the tax office, is it automatic or do I have to do something?
That's why I sent them a message, but I'm starting to think they won't answer... it's been two weeks after all.

In Spain you have to fill in an earnings form a declaration form every year at the end of the tax year. You need to speak to your bank manager again and ask him to recommend someone local to be your fiscal representative at least for your first year.
