Good morning Sylvana,

Thank you for your question, I know that you have already received a couple of answers.

Personally, I think is better to start with your own domain name. I appreciate that everything may be new to you, however, if you know your niche, I would then purchase a domain.

Wishing you all the best.

Always good to hear an opinion from a more experienced person. Thanks. I have started with the free option and followed the tutorial. Once I know how to navigate through I'll move the website to my own domain. Right now it's just a mater of playing the vid and stop - and play and stop. :):) I'm up to step 6.

I understand, the great thing is that you are going through the training and taking action.

Video training is fantastic as we can see everything exactly how it is and we can keep going backwards and forwards and replaying the videos. Although I have been working online for some time, I still regularly refer to the training and watch new training and classes! It's so valuable.

I look forward to watching your progress.

So have you chosen your niche yet Lesson 3?
Your niche will help you select a domain name.

We would recommend that you create your first website as a Free one - the free opt[ion. This will; give you an opportunity to learn how this works and then if you liken your content you can MOVE all of your pages, posts, images, theme, settings, plugins to a dot com you purchase. This way in case you change your mind about your website or anything you can always delete the free website and start a new one.

once you buy a dot com domain name you are the owner for one year.

Aha, I don't have a registered Domain. So that answers that. I'm happy to select the free option then and follow Kyle's video tutorial. Thanks

You can only select Domain I own if you have registered a domain name. The free option allows you to create a sub-domain of SiteRubix. It's not actually a domain name. My preference is to always go for a real domain but the free one does allow you to explore possibilities without commitment.
