Hello, me again!

Last last night and all day today, I have been getting these annoying Uptime Robot thing telling me the monitor is up and down. I have received over 30 of these things on my cell phone and in my email it comes up like 'Uptime Robot (10) Monitor is up'... so this means, I have 10 of these individual messages popping up on my cell phone.

Any idea how I can get rid of this Uptime Robot forever? Or do I need to keep it?

Uptime Robot is a free tool used to monitor websites . It monitors your websites every 5 minutes and alerts you if your sites are down. Get alerted via e-mail, SMS, Twitter, push, Slack, HipChat and now OnPage through WebHooks.

People are complaining there is a paid version and it looks like it is hard to cancel.

It appears I might have signed in for the free version, although I don't recall that but who knows what my frame of mind was at the time...lol.

There is no place for me to unsubscribe.

Oddly, today, I have not received any annoying Uptime Robot messages. Nada...

i would search your emails for a 'thanks for registering ' from uptimerobot.....
and watch your bank account as the free account doesn't have sms alerts only the paid version does...
you will be looking or around $7 per month
if you can find your login details or even use the forgot password feature most sites have you may be able to get into the account associated with your site...
but i would goto https://uptimerobot.com and try to login with the forgot password and see how far you get...

Ummm, interesting, I don't remember signing up for the free one. I know for sure that I would not set myself up to pay especially on something I'm not familiar with or feel uncomfortable with.

However, I've noticed my personal email pop up with passwords in asterisk and when I click on the password, it says invalid and wants me to set up a new pw which I did and it still says it's invalid. So having said that, it appears that I did go for the free one but I can't go into it.

Oddly, all day today, I have not received any Uptime Robot annoying messages. For now, I'm happy BUT I will check my bank account anyway... who knows what my frame of mind was at the time I even signed up for this thing. Never a dull moment 😂.

Me too, Phil! Uptime Robot has come back again.

At least, on my email from my laptop it just shows up Uptime Robot (20) and I can easily delete it. On my cell phone, it shows up 20 times individually. Grrr...

Anyway, thank you... I'm just going to ignore this and move forward to my next challenge.

Uptime robot is a service that lets you know when your website is down. ( amongst other things) . It is a service that needs to be ordered. Have you received installed a new plugin. It might have come as an unwanted extra.
The message you get should have an unsubscribe button or something like that. That would probably be the easiest way to get rid of it ( if that is exactly what it is)

I didn't install this plugin. It's not showing in my list of plugins for the website.

There is no unscribe button. Thanks for the link... I sent them a message to contact me through their live chat, but I think they must be sleeping. I'll talk to them tomorrow.
