Has anyone here used Paper.li for news reports, newspaper to "make it your own"?

I checked into it briefly about a year ago but I wasn't convinced it is actually useful or reliable. I have read reviews about it and a lot seem negative.

Is anyone here familiar with it? If so, what has been your experience? Would You Recommend It? Why? Why Not?

Thanks for any feedback.

I was an "early adopter" with paper.li and still use them several years later. If you follow me on twitter - https://twitter.com/BillBateman1 you can see several in my daily feeds. I like the look and feel. I'm still using the free version.
It's basically a robot curation tool. In the fast paced Twitter environment I still get views.

I get views in LinkedIn and Facebook too but I'm not sufficiently tracking the metrics to give you a clear picture of what benefit I'm getting. I do believe that it builds rapport with my followers (especially those that are mentioned one of my paper.li's)

Plus it "looks" good with no ongoing effort from me. I set it up once and forgot about it for several years now.

Paper.li is just another tool but it's a good one. I'd encourage you to try the free version with a single paper.li (I have about 10 in 3 different twitter accounts). Get a feel for it. Watch what, if any, comments you get and then consider upgrading to the paid version.

Humm......I wasn't expecting to hear this. I appreciate your information.

Would you be willing to allow me to follow up with you concerning any further questions about your experience? I don't do twitter though.....(yet!...I know, I know..I get the flack!)...

I am concerned about the quality of content and other with paper.lie but trying to do due diligence and not be too judgemental just yet...the concept is tempting!.....

Thanks so much, I really appreciate your responding. Very interesting!

Sure, ask me anything. I certainly don't have all the answers but I'm real straight forward.

PS - don't sweat the twitter thing. It's of dubious value to many business models. Depends on who your audience is.

Thank you Triblu...I have actually looked at those reviews..I am still confused and would like someone hopefully here who has had experience with them or at least knows of someone who has. Thank you again for your help.

I hadn't heard of that particular one but a few others like that and just hearing you describe the concept on this one - well that concept sounds fishy, and to what extent is it then quality original content? If someone had a quick and easy way to make your hard work and well researched blog post their own - it sort of sucks, doesn't it - if that's the angle?

Yes! That's what I am thinking but then again, I could see the benefit if someone wanted to send out newsletters, newspaper type reports on a certain topic to a certain target market and doesn't have the time to devote..But I'm reading it is unorganized and somewhat of a mess. I would definitely want reliable. I am highly doubtful as you say "quick and easy way to make hard work and well-researched blog your own" I totally get that...I guess I was delving in wishful thinking. I should know better! Your point is well taken, makes total sense! Thanks a bunch!

Saturday night blues I guess! ;-)
