I am a high school senior and this is the first time I've ever done affiliate marketing.
Honestly, I have humble beginnings here as I was just looking for creative ways to make extra cash online. I stumbled across a review for Wealthy Affiliate and I am so fortunate to have landed on such a miraculous site.
That said, I am college-bound for honors and was wondering if anyone had constructive feedback and insight on how to balance this with other demands that will inevitably arise.
Again, thanks for all the help!

Hey, Elijah. Congratulations on great progress thus far!
I would also suggest creating some sort of a schedule that will keep on you on track. The key is to stay consistent so if you can schedule your time here, you'll have no problems maintaining all other aspects of your life such as school, family and private life etc., and maintaining your website as well.
You know yourself the best so it's really up to you how you are going to organize your life. I hope this helps a bit. Have a great day! :)

Hi Elijah, I go to work, and in the beginning, I was all over the place. So I drew up a time table and crossed out areas where I would be at work, dinner or breakfast, family time etc.
As a student, you would have done this for school, college or university.
Once you have crossed these off, then I would add WA time.
This I would divide into Training, research, writing blogs, attending to emails and so on.
Set yourself daily goals and weekly goals.
My advice is not to rush, and it's not a race. Take your time, and you will succeed. You can only do what you can do in the amount of time you have.
I wish you success.

Elijah, I do agree with Roberta and all the others.
Having a work life balance is very challenging indeed.
It is very hard because it is something that only you can do.
One thing that I found to be very useful since starting out is to monitor my time spent here at WA and my business.
This I do in terms of setting up a daily checklist, sorting out what my daily things I need to do and completing my priorities first.
That way I know that even if I still haven't tick off all on my checklist for that day, I still manage to do the most important thing.

Work life balance is different for everyone. In this business it's important to build a solid foundation and to be consistent. That being said you have to develop a realistic plan as to how much time you can dedicate to WA.
If you're not honest about this you end up not meeting targets you set yourself which can lead to disappointment and frustration. Avoid that trap.
Be honest with yourself and your goals and don't base your progress here against anyone else's. We all have different levels of responsibilities and commitments and we each have to figure out what works best.
I hope that gives you some level of perspective.

If you can pick the right niche and work hard to build your website then hopefully you will be able to slack off on it at college, yet get a passive income from it. It takes a lot of work, but until you try you won't know what you can achieve.
