I have heard that it is possible to earn money from creating your own training at Wealthy Affiliate.

Is this true and can anyone explain how much you can earn?

In the below screenshot it says "10 credits" alongside the level the training it is on. Is this how much the training has earned thus far?

It is on level 1 thus far, how many levels are there, and what happens when the top level is reached, does the credits keep being paid?

I'm guessing each level is worth 10 credits? So does this mean there is a cap on earnings for trainings?

it gets more difficult to attain the higher levels

so can you rely on this ...nope
hte level is all down ot activity from other members and you responding to comments....
it is a little perk for creating hte training.....

I’m guessing the Level 3 one is your Google training that we all share ;-)

it has been up for a while

You can update the video, yes :-) I uploaded a new version for the Introduction one that you hated ;-) to include subtitles.

If you do update the video, might be worth posting a blog about it to give it another push :-)

In the top right corner, the Added Date changes to the date that you make a change. But I also add some text to the description as well, to make it clear :-)

you need to see them on level 2 to get paid for level one - so you need to pass the level before you get paid for it.....

Exactly as Diane and Phil have mentioned. The blue progress bar is how far away you are from achieving Level 1. Once you have achieved Level 1, it will then say Level 2 and the blue bar resets.

I.e. when it says Level 1, you haven’t achieved a level yet.
When it says Level 2, you have achieved Level 1.

Once you have achieved a level, it then has to be approved for payout by Kyle/Carson (this happens automatically, as in you don’t have to do anything), and is usually once a month just before the 1st of the month.

Level 1 = 10 Credits ($5)
Level 2 = 20 Credits ($10)
Level 3 = 30 Credits ($15)
And so on

If you want to look at the kind of likes and comments you require, you can take a look at my training. All of them, except the latest one, have achieved Level 1. None of my training has achieved Level 2.

I’m just letting you know that training shouldn’t be considered an earning opportunity, as such. But it is nice to receive the odd $5 here or there :-)

The main purpose of training is to help other members and to pay it forward :-)

Hi - yes, I am at the same stage. All of my training has passed level 1, but none have reached level 2, even after 6 months.

So if a particular training is at say a level 1, 10 credits ... does that mean you will receive 10 credits each month? or just once when the training achieves that level?

No no, it’s only a 1 time payment. So for the 15 I have published, I have earned a total of 150 credits ($75). It would be nice to be monthly haha

Not much of a reward for the time and work some of these trainings might take to produce lol

True haha but as I mentioned, the main purpose of training is to help other members and to pay it forward, so any reward is a bonus to receive :-)

It’s just like SiteComments, it’s not to be relied upon to pay your mortgage ;-) Just a nice to have when you do get something back :-)

Site Comments was a whole different animal a ways back. In the beginning when I first got here I used the site comments platform to help pay for my monthly premium membership and my 2nd domain.

I'd spend maybe 30 min or less per day and earned enough to pay about half the membership each month. That is no longer possible with the changes to the platform unfortunately.

Thanks ChrystopherJ this has explained everything!

Just one more question, do the levels keep going or do they stop at level 3?

Really? What happened that which stopped it from happening?

I'm really not sure what changed it. When the Black Friday deal came around that year I went yearly and stopped spending as much time on Site Comments. Months later I started hearing people were not getting cash credits for comments as often as before.

I think it had something to do with the fact that cash credits are only paid out for comments when the person requesting the comment had paid cash for them. When the premium/premium plus memberships started coming with community credits included most people were paying for their comments with those. At least that is my theory.

Diane has also just respond in live chat which was helpful she said "Hi - your training has to be approved first. It then goes through different levels depending on how many people have liked and commented on it. It's very slow progress to even get from Level 1 to Level 2. The initial payment is $5, and then $10 at level 2."

If you go to your credit dashboard in your profile you will be able to see more info and how credits can be used, balancing with working on your own site of course ...hope that helps, Phil

"Earn Cash Credits when training reaches a minimum level of visits, likes, and engagement. As training becomes popular you earn Cash Credits to use towards other systems within WA! You may also exchange these credits for USD!"

Hi, thanks for the comment.

I have this screenshot that shows my training and it says "10 credits"?

Is this what the training has earned?

Hi - no, you haven't earned anything yet. The blue bar has to go all the way across to show that you have cleared Level 1. Then you will get the 10 credits, which is equal to $5. Realistically, you need at least 25 comments on your training to get to that stage.
