Is there a post thread that shares Facebook links? Like the one we use for requesting comments?

For example... we leave and share comments, can we leave and share Facebook likes?

Hey Rob,

If your fan page is for your MMO website, I wouldn't be asking for likes from anyone... if I were you. Reason I suggest this is that you will only lose followers as time goes by, if they "Like" your page to make you happy.

AND, what I discovered was this... I setup my FB fan page for my MMO website and then just let the followers find the page. I have now collected over 165 REAL "Likes" and 177 REAL "followers" without asking NOR listing that fan page ANYWHERE.

PLUS... many of my referrals are coming in from that fan page.

Sharing this ONLY to share. If you prefer to ask members here to follow or Like you FB fan page, all you can do without being considered spamming on WA, is add the URL to your Follow me on section of your WA profile. Hope you find this helpful.

I agree with this completely.

I did a fan page for one business and a closed group for the other. I have been trying to decide which is right for me. I want real followers and I have a theory that if persons are serious about what I am sharing they will request to join.

I find that people I don't even know leave request to join that closed group. The one where I asked for likes I got plenty but no engagement.

None the less from that closed group I got two referrals. That haven't upgraded but that's Interest.

Glad you've discovered similar responses to your FB fan page vs closed group Candy, and Thank YOU for joining the conversation.

This DOES help others make a decision when more than one member has experienced the same thing.

I like the logic and experience behind Trish's and Candy's comments. I have recently set up two FB pages but haven't pushed either one and already they are beginning to pick up 'likes' organically. It may take longer but at least you know that the foundation is built on genuine interest.

Hey Rob, I totally agree with Twack, Trish, and Candy but I wanted to give you an answer to your question just in case you had already thought of these things.

Hello, my suggestion is to put your Facebook link under your profile then you can write a post and ask for people to like your FB page. Let them know it is a link under your profile. This way they have the option to do so.
