I've been thinking about registering with AdSense. Here's my question: can we choose what we want AdSense to advertise on our websites or are we giving Google a blank check to advertise whatever they want

Adsense seems to show ads that is relevant to the visitors browsing searches, we do not have control over what it will show to each visitor who clicks on your site

Hi Katie, thank you for this answer. Just to add up, I am trying to register with adsense and successfully installed the plugin but I think theres a little bit of problem because when I click VERIFY there is no reply that they have successfully verified my site. Have u encountered such issue? Thanks in advance.

When applying for Adsense ,the first stage is to set up your account ,use your best website when setting up the account ,(once your best is approved you will be given the right to paste the code(s)on all your sites and webpages ).The second stage involve generating the ad code while in your account (at this stage you are not yet approved ) ,after generating the ad code , paste it into your webpages ,When I set up my account I pasted the code inside the content ,remember 3 ad codes per post /page -I did not use the plug in , try that ,not using the plugin

I am not sure of that. I tried ADsense but I left it behind because I thought the adds were not related to my website.
I haven't really tried to figure out if it is possible to select adds that are more appropriate but it should make sense,

You can do this before trying :Check what ads you site can probably get by visiting http://googleadspreview.blogspot.com/ you can type your site(s) URL and can also let you see what ads visitors in different countries can see! You can see what ads you receive not only from AdSense but also from Yahoo! and Chitika .

Wish you success

Google place ads based on the website content and user past searches .Google delivers targeted ads on your site ,ads are targeted for each visitor on your site ,you have the right to restrict certain ads to be displayed on your web pages (I noticed the options to do so on my adsense account).

I hope you will find it helpful
