Having different friends, different audiences, plus this learning from WA that I can target strangers through the use of search engine optimization, landed me into a situation where I have 5 blogs to manage!

Yes, 5 blogs all in all.

http://coachgom.com
http://bossg.net
http://gomscafe.com
http://projectbabyface.com

...and the latest, a personal blog!

http://gomermagtibay.com

With the exception of the personal blog, I am confident that through the help of the training we have here in Wealthy Affiliate, I can make them work (the first 4 blogs that I have).

What bothers me is the future of my "personal blog".

Does anyone here experience "success" growing a personal blog with general interests (topic)?

Any tips or advice? :)

Hey Gomer,

I use my personal blog (of which I only have one) for things I want to share with friends and family ... and sometimes even the world!

You know... like the cute things pinned to the walls of cubicles in offices everywhere ... even included these as I no longer work in a cubicle.

Favourite recipes that I don't want to lose are shared there too.

Huh, and I've even Made affiliate money ACCIDENTALLY! with my personal blog So ... yes, I see personal blogs continuing to be popular.

Trish

Hi Triblu, this is a follow up to your post. I wanna see your actual blog (the personal blog). Can you share to me the link via private message?

There is no need of sharing my personal blog URL privately Gomer, I've had it linked under my profile photo since starting my affiliate websites ... https://trishparr.com though I have to admit ... I NEED a new theme.

The theme I'm now using is a tad old and is getting to be a bit of a "pig" on resources.

Thanks, Trish. Finally, I found a personal blog I can look up to. And, I have read one of your posts, the Mouse Trap story, and I enjoyed it. I even commented on it! Thanks for sharing. Indeed, a story with big moral lesson. :)

Hi Trish, I have a follow up question:

After you have approved my comment, I received an email telling me of that. Is there a plugin you're using like "Approved Comment Notifier" to let people know their comments have been approved?

I think you can build it big if you continue to write more content, you should be able to find your tribe eventually.

My blog has had over 2 million visitors but I haven't been focusing on it the past year or so. I has just logged on to ask a question about using a blog as my niche because I love blogging.

Wow, that's a lot of visitors to a personal blog! You must be famous prior to joining WA, aren't you?

It started as a personal blog and I didn't expect anyone to read it...I didn't even realize people were reading it for quite some time. The blog established me as an authority in my field (relationship and Intimacy coach). It also brought me a lot of opportunities for interviews, freelance writing, guest posting etc. I've just outgrown it now...I am selling it.

Your story reminds me of Jeff Goin's Writers Manifesto. That we should write not caring if people will read it or not, but just write.

Thanks for sharing your story. I learned a lot from you. And of course, it inspired me. :)
