I need your help. How and where can I put an Amazon affiliate disclosure ( which I didn't know that I needed) on my website? My theme does not offer footers. I have it on the menu pages under privacy/ affiliate disclosure. Second, I created my review post and linked to 3 products on Amazon. The problem is when I got the links to the products, they said the images weren't needed and at first I put them in myself as clickable links but then I read here at WA that Amazon won't allow that so I deleted them. I feel the images HAVE to be there. So what do I do? I don't want Amazon shutting me down either. Can you help?

You can leave it on the menu pages. However, it might be better to just create a page just for affiliate disclosure rather than put that in privacy page. This way you avoid any confusions.

Who said the images were not needed? Did you find the images or you got them from Amazon?

Here is what I do. Use the Amazon images but don't make them clickable. Word is that click images are becoming less effective with increased mobile use anyway.

I create a large text link call to action using Amazon's link to any page feature.

My calls to action say Check Amazon Pricing or See Current Amazon Price.

They link directly to the product page.

If you have a sidebar, put your disclaimer there at the top. First thing people see and it helps create a sales atmosphere. :)

Thanks. This is what it says to do: Highlight and copy the HTML below, then paste it into the code for your Web site but I'm not sure where it goes. I read that you cannot just copy and paste their images and put it up there. So if I knew where to put the html code on the site then maybe the image would be there?

I often add an invitation to leave a comment at the bottom of my pages and posts. This is where I add the disclaimer. I have not had amazon tell me that images were not needed. Did you go to links and then search your product category? You should be able to choose image only. I am not 100% sure on this, but I believe you can make a linked product image without problem as long as you are an affiliate and linking to that product in Amazon. Write to their customer support to be 100% certain.

I'm not sure how others are doing it. I just know that it says you can't just copy and paste the image and put it into the review page

Don't copy and paste images. Download and upload them. The html should be copied and pasted into your text editor, not visual editor. If you are concerned about taking images from Amazon, get them from the main website. They aren't likely to complain unless it's a negative review.

Thank you! I just figured it out that I had to copy and paste into the text editor. I have the images Amazon provided but the only thing is they are on the left side of the post. I would have preferred the middle but it seems I can't change it so all is ok :-)
