Hey everybody, I have a question about asking questions :)

If you post a question, and it gets commented on, it can appear that the question has been answered, when in fact it hasn't.

If you don't get any more responses (I think partly because people see the question has comments and therefore assume answers), is it best to re-post the question?

I know live chat is another option, but it's something I'm actively choosing not to use at the moment (fear of the live chat addiction I keep hearing about).

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

You can delete your original question and ask again. This time ask for members to reply only if they know the answer,

Fair question Emily. Is there a particular question that you have that has not been fully answered?

Some time ago we had discussions about it. See the issue discussed here: So yes, ask again if you do not have answer.

Generally, I read through the comments to see if the original question was indeed answered. Many times by the time I'm finished typing OR even get here to the thread, there is already an answer. But, I do read. Additionally, I feel if your question wasn't answered or you have further questions, sure, ask it again. Or, message someone (like me) specifically if you wish. Many of us are here to help. :-)
