Core “Business Start Up” Training

I have a longtail keyword with a QSR of less than 100 and average searches of 8000 but when I do a keyword search for the term in quotes, I see the term in the meta description

QSR = Quoted Search Results. It's the result you get from Google if you put the search term into quotes. So the result can be from any part of any website where those words appear together in the same order as the search term.

Most people don't use quotes when they're searching or they may only do it on rare occasions.

Thank you, Marion! The training says to use QSR less than 100 but since most people don't use quotations in their search, is there a better indicator to use when selecting keywords? Thanks!

The best indicator of the competition is to look at page 1 of the search results for that particular term. If you can't compete with the articles on the first page then there's no point in targeting that keyword.

Q. Where is the best place to hide a body?
A. Page 2 of the search results, no one ever goes there.

I had an account with a couple of Affiliate programs in the past and I shut them down. Should I start fresh with new accounts or request to rejoin? My site concept has change

Once you've closed down an account, it is best to start new and fresh. My perspective is that of an affiliate network and program manager (I work for Awin.com).

Hi - many affiliate programs like to inspect your site to see if it is suitable, so you would need to rejoin if it is a new site.

Most that inspect a site have a resubmit option so see what devices are in place before creating an alternate account. Amazon, for example, allows you to reapply at a later date even if you were turned down initially or disqualified at some point. Most vendors on CJ or Commission Junction can be resubmitted to every 3-6 months until approved as many just want your traffic numbers to rise or more pages of content to be developed. The prior application serves as a benchmark so they can see progress towards their goal for your site.

Always try to rejoin where possible as your initial sponsor in some is still active and joining under someone else robs them of their commission and any residuals from your earnings. Not all affiliate programs offer a single tier, in many cases, another affiliate introduced you to the program causing you to join and you would not like to be the one on the losing end if one of your referrals rejoined under someone else.

There is so much awesome training! What are your recommendations for best use of the training? For example, do you complete the certification and boot camp first before going

All the training both the certification and boot camp are beneficial to your learning that will enhance the best for you and your website.

The bootcamp is mainly designed for those who may wish to promote WA however having said that it will also help you learn more should you wish to focus on other affiliate programs.
There are always bits and pieces you can gain added knowledge from them

The classroom training can include some from both these programs but also including training from other members such as the live video training done by Jay (magistudios) those are up to you

If you go to the classroom training and click all you will find many from other members outside of Kyle, Carson or Jay

So any training outside those provided by Kyle or Carson are not requirements but very beneficial

Andre

If you are new to affiliate marketing I always suggest folks go with OEC (Online Entrepreneur Certification) training. for the simple fact that the Affiliate Bootcamp training is geared toward affiliate marketing and promoting Wealthy Affiliate which is a tough niche to break into when you are getting started. If you follow the training exactly as Kyle presents it you will be organically guided as to what direction to take at every turn. Hope this helps!

Hi Georgene,

It's best if you start here: You can always do additional training from the classrooms, but the training takes you through the basics step by step.

Good luck!

Best,

Bianca

Does your site concept need to be in your domain name?

Example

Uber - taxi service
Google - search engine
Unsplash - free image site
Dripp apps - SEO Training
Just one more cup of coffee - A very succesful WA affilaite marketing website

Answer - not really

Barry

You want your domain name to be relevant to the content you'll be putting out. It's just like a storefront.

its not as important as it used to be
