Good site, I think the posts are too short

I think you have a great idea going with your website. I looked at your posts and they seem kind of short. Increasing the length of your posts should help you. Bounce rate has a lot to do with how long people are spending at your website. They key is to keep them there as long as you can. New websites bounce rate may be higher until you get a steady flow of traffic and visitors returning. On the other hand, if they are bouncing from your page from clicking on your ads, is a good thing.

After a quick peek, it looks like your posts aren't very long, and you link to something very quickly, so the reader doesn't have a chance to read before they're off looking at something else from you link.

I think that's why the 1000 word page/post works, because readers need to spend time reading what you write, and literally not just bouncing through your site...

Just be yourself. If your site is worth visiting, people will visit and then tell a friend.
I have just been writing short stories and thoughts on one of my sites and I just found out that I have almost 20 subscribers. Like you, I just want to write. Plain and simple.
Make it something you enjoy doing or else you will dread it and progress will never happen.

Content. The more articles you have, the more chances you have to rank on search engines. It's a numbers game yo!
