Hi Gemma, welcome to wealthy Affiliate and all the best.

The pressure is on in the travel niche at the moment, borders are closed and folks are not traveling to any degree. In that there are opportunities that can be explored.

In any niche we are looking for those pain points travel is one where the pain is off the dial at the moment if you reflect the pain is with businesses and also folks that have booked or can not travel but want to. If you look at the other side you may discover a niche opportunity, there are heaps to be explored as we move to the new covid world.

With MMO your angle is a good one to explore there will be ,more and more folks at home or operating from home. People are being displaced world wide and all are looking for alternatives ways to generate incomes. The online world is on the cusp of a tsunami of interest. The people who can provide the opportunities for people tpo learn how to create income online are going to be in for harvest times.

Try not to over think it one of the things we need to concentrate starting out is leaning the processes involved as we work through the training. We can change direction as we grow and devlop.

Travel blogs are always popular and as its a passion you might be better with that one.

A sub-niche could be, where to travel to during the Covid pandemic. As its going to around for a few years this will be very popular.

On the MMO for mums, check out Suzie Whitford on Google, she has done exactly that. See what shes doing/done and build on it.

Hi Gemma, I agree right now the travel niche is risky, however it does take time to build up traffic etc. So by the time you have built up your site and have enough blog content. Corona will have hopefully have calmed down in 6-12 months time. Could you write up content about past travels for example? Always go with what you are passionate about first! I've only just started my MMO niche and I see this very much as a side project to my main niche site I work on. Hopefully this helps.

Hi, you’re right, coronavirus could have less impact by the time Ive built up my content. I like that you have a MMO side niche, that could work for me if I start with the travel first :)

"I've always wanted a travel blog"

I think you answered your own question :)

Haha! You’re right. I do have a travel blog set up on Wordpress with a domain name etc. Only a couple of posts on there though as I struggled with content & finding good keywords. I think WA will help with that though! Is there a way of migrating what I’ve already got to WA or should I just start again?

You can migrate, but if there's not a great deal on there then typically it'll be much easier just to start again. Also, the website you've already built & the content you've created will not be built as per the training, so it's probably best just to start a fresh :)

Hi there,

It would be better to go with your passion, but a travel niche is a bit risky right now because of the Coronavirus. That's my opinion.
Yes, sure it will work. You can learn on the way and teach others.

Thanks, I agree with going with passion first. I’m so worried about not making money with it through because travel is risky right now. I will start a MMO site when I’ve made some money! :)
