Adding to the Family
Things are changing around here and it's for the better! I haven't had quite as much time to work on my sites as intended because . . . we're welcoming a new member to our family.
As many of you know, I have three sons. I've always wanted boys, so I'm very happy with my three beautiful young men. However, I never felt that our family was quite done. While my husband and I agreed no more babies, it always felt like we were missing a fourth child.
No longer. Our fourth joins us tomorrow . . . and she's a girl!
That's right, we're adding a 15 year old girl to our crazy family! It's going to be quite the change around here and I find myself embracing the idea of having another female in the house. Someone to watch chick flicks with me. Someone to hang out and chat with when my boys are too busy leaping off the furniture. It could be interesting.
This isn't a decision to be made lightly, but when the opportunity came up, I knew we would need to take her. She's the perfect fit for our family. When we made the decision to take her in . . . I immediately felt peace. So we know it's the right thing to do.
My work schedule may need some adjusting to fit with raising four kids now, one of whom is in school rather than being homeschooled, but I think we'll manage just fine. This is one of the advantages of working at home. I have the ability to take time to bond with my new daughter and help her through the transition.

Yes, and with a difficult background, we're expecting some issues. For now though, we're enjoying the honeymoon period.
This sounds like a wonderful time for you. Blessings go both ways in situations like this. .....you to your new daughter and she to her new family. Sounds like a beautiful experience for all involved.
Enjoy,
Debbie

That's so exciting Genesis!! And I'm sure she'll be really blessed having you all as her new family.
You should take all the time you can to bond with her. Your business can wait a little. Or work when they're all in bed lol.
Congratulations!

Thanks, Suzanne! I fully intend to spend nights working, lol. I already do that to some extent, but it might need to be more time.

Congratulations! My daughter has been singing all day about how she wants a little brother or little sister but I can empathize with your sentiments about no more babies, lol. I've only had one and I'm done x_x; I hope you have lots of fun girl time with your daughter :)
Heh! My oldest son always begged for a sister, so I told him now he has one andd he can leave me alone. ;) It's been a couple of weeks and so far, so good.
