My website status
As you can see, I have a long way to go to improve my site. However:
- Site Health is Pretty Good - in the blue;
- I have 250 Comments - not bad I suppose;
- I only have 29 Pages - for now; and
- 19 Posts - this will improve as I'm committed to Michael's (Ultimateless) weekly challenge;
As you can see from the above image, my publishing frequency is low, but again the weekly challenge will help improve this;
My plugins? Well I think this is always going to be low as I love the plugins I have - and there are 9 active plugins;
I haven't requested Feedback on my site yet, so I'll get to this as I have credits available plus I need to offer more comments via the SiteComments and SiteFeedback platforms.
Overall, I'm happy with how my site is progressing. How is everyone else doing?

Yeah, you are doing really well - you should be happy with your progress. Keep up the good work!
Personally I think that this fixation with a low number of plugins is counter productive. The selection of good plugins is more important. An indication of a good plugin ; number of downloads, whether the plugin has been tested with current CMS version and how recently the plugin was updated. is much more important than the total number of plugins. Widgets can be more of a drag on site resources especially if they have to keep calling on their host service which causes more back and forth traffic.
The question you should ask yourself is "are your plugins giving you a problem"
Faster broadband and cpu speeds and more efficient coding are eating into this argument about low number of plugins.
Recently a member commented that the use of drag & drop page builders is not a good idea because it was inefficient. Well I would rather use a well tested and updated pagebuilder from a company that has great version control than some hacked together piece of homespun code that is untested and has to be re-written every time there a new CMS version is rolled out.
Just my opinion, of course.

I agree Bob, and all my Plugins have a huge number of downloads, they're all compatible with my theme and are all updated regularly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts :-)
