Another nugget from Jay!
Wisdom that is.
I noticed Jay had some very professional looking, featured images on his blog menu page. A very good continuity of relevance, rather than just having a picture.
And he said something about Canva, so I decided to take a look.
So went to Canva (I wasn't tempted to go anywhere else)
- Clicked on documents
- Then presentation
- And found a great template for what I was looking for - like the one above
I was happy with the result but after using it as my featured image for a blog I saw that it was way too large.
In Canva business cards the same thing happened.
When I clicked on resize, Canva said I had to try Pro for free.
I have my reasons for not wanting to do that - one of them being that I think the Australian Gov is stopping international credit card transactions. They didn't announce it of course. I have no luck with Pinterest or making international donations.
Problem.
So I made the image in Business presentation and took it to Business cards.
In business cards I only used a quarter of the space. Saved it and cropped it in Downloads.
It worked beautifully, and I had skirted around Pro.
Only took a couple hours.
Maybe many know of an easier way, but I thought I would share this anyway.
I hope it saves people time.
Garry.

The more you do the faster you get. One took a couple of hours to start with but now I can do several in that time.
Yes exactly, I feel like there's always another mountain.
Keep on scaling those walls Linda.

Thank you Garry, I will and do. If someone says you can't, I say, Why not? And give it a go just because, lol.

Thanks for the info, Garry. Looks like you managed to body swerve an up sell there!
The way Jay does his featured images is very professional and something that never occurred to me until I watched his live training (link below) where he shows us 40 minutes in. Writing Awesome Content That Ranks When you say 'Continuity of relevance' - that sums it up to perfection.
Cheers
Rich :-)
That is one of my Favo-Ravo!! teachings from Jay.
Thought you might like to know that,
