Just curious as to where some great places to purchase premium themes may be. I hear mixed reviews about ThemeForest, but aside from that I am not aware of too many other sites

I have two themes from ThemeForest and they work fine. (It's the Woozone and Woocommerce plugins I am struggling with at the moment.) I have a friend who runs the Divi theme from Elegant Themes - https://www.elegantthemes.com/ . You might find something there that fits your needs.

That's all I know for now. Hope this helps...

This is great, thanks! I had actually thought about Divi before, and it looks legit. I am wondering if the Visual Page Builder is compatible with the WordPress that WA runs here - I would love to be able to drag and drop my site as I build it out!

Have a look at woocommerce.com - I've been using one of their themes for several years. They have given me great support, and I believe they still would if I needed it.

With my theme I have a lifetime membership, which means I can update it without having to pay anything extra.

The company has grown tremendously. It was woothemes when I purchased mine, but I would still trust them if I wanted to purchase a different theme.

Great suggestion! I'm going to head over there now to check it out. Not sure what exactly I'm looking for, but I just want that comfort of having support available were I to ever need it.

They have so many. One of our members I was helping had purchased one of woo themes. I can look up the name of the theme. I should still have his message in my PMs. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I shared the name of the theme. I can't do it for about an hour as I have to go out now.

There are a fair amount of search results for "best premium themes 2017," so I may start there. I was more concerned about purchasing from reliable sources, but I will definitely give woocommerce a shot.

I installed Woocommerce's default theme, StoreFront, in my test site. There are two free child themes I didn't care for. They do have 10 additional child themes, but they cost $39 each, which probably isn't bad since the ThemeForest themes running higher than that.

I would be interested to here if anyone chooses one of the child themes and uses them for e-commerce. Are there other themes at woocommerce.com I am missing?

Thanks for highlighting their site too.

The range with WooCommerce is huge.
Another brand which is very common with professionals is Genesis. I haven't used it myself, but it's probably worth looking at.

I'm also hearing that "Composer" is a solid, "all-time" great.

https://wordpress.org/themes/composer/

I did look at the Divi theme as suggested by @gartnerf and it looks awesome. I still need to figure out if these themes that come with Visual Builder plugins actually work with the WA interface. I've always wanted to be able to set up my websites visually, and this would be a great help to do that.

It seems Gareth that before making a decision on a theme you should look at Canvas. It is the theme I use and one of WooCommerce's themes.

This theme allows for all sorts of designs and interactions. It has a Magazine template, a Business template. Slider settings, Dynamic images. If you are up to speed with css there is a field for entering the code. I'm not knowledgeable with css, but with Woo support I've learnt enough for what I need. You can change or add almost anything. The only thing I'm not sure about is including the huge images on the home page that most WordPress themes appear to have these days. I image these images a current design fashion.
They might be part of the Dynamic image setting, which I haven't used.

Anyway, it is definitely worth looking at. And, just in case anyone reading my comment gets the idea of my earning commission, Woo do not have an affiliate program. They had one years ago, but discontinued it a long time ago.

I have purchased from themeforest before. Never had any trouble and the person I bought from seems to update the theme over the years. So thats where I will be headding shortly for the new sites.

Awesome, thanks! Do you find it easy to import into WA once you make the purchase and start to build out your domain? Do you have any specific things you look for in a theme as you search?

Why do you want to drop your code into a child theme?
Are you saying that your Theme (not child theme) does not show a list on the right-hand side that includes 'Theme Header'.

You may, or may not, have seen my training. It might help you.
This is similar to what you mention in your post, but it's worth a look if you haven't already done so.

I hope you soon find an answer. If not, you're welcome to send me a PM and I will help you if I can.

Hi ValerieJoy,

I have actually looked at your training before and yes, that was exactly what I did. My problem is exactly what you mentioned - my child theme does not have a theme header section within the list on the right hand side.

Only by navigating to the parent theme do I find the theme header with the proper php file to drop the code. But if I'm dropping the code into the parent theme, and that's the right thing to do, then Google is telling me that I have no content on my website. Could that really be the case if I have content posted?

This whole thing is almost worth quitting over. I've already made absolutely ZERO progress getting an amazon referral within my 180 days, and it's just fail after fail after fail. Ugh.

Gareth, there will an answer. I do understand how you are feeling.

Please send me a link to your website. I think it best that you send it by Private Message. We are not supposed to include our own websites links in these comments.

I am trying to make sure I don't overdue my affiliate links and want to understand better how many is too many. My site is broken down as such:

-Beginner's Guide
-Art

I had some feedback from Kyle to have the content article be mostly content and then link to reviews within your own site and let those reviews have links to Amazon. I am currently switching my site over to leverage this approach. He said have affiliate link on every post that is not a review would not make Google happy

That sounds like what I have structured...so my articles are things like "Is a 4x6 printer REALLY portable?" I have 3-4 built out already, but am about to start writing reviews (each one on a separate post), with things like "The HP Sprocket is about to blast off!" So I guess I was wondering if it's okay to put links THERE, or should I build yet another page (just 1) to house all of the actual links, and then link my reviews to that one page.

I am probably making no sense, but I do appreciate your response!

Hey. Include your links in the actual reviews. For example 10 articles about today's home office. A to Z . Those articles mention products. Those products if you are affiliate have review posts with links in them. This is covered in affiliate bootcamp level 2. I had no idea this was so strategic.
