I’m in an affiliate program where my commissions keep getting reversed. Getting kind of frustrated seeing sales come in but just keep getting reversed.

Has anyon

This means that they are getting lots of refunds and/or chargebacks.

I would typically recommend that you avoid affiliates programs like this as it is likely a low quality service, and the fact that customers that you recommend to this service are refunding it may not bode the best for your brand.

They state that people are using promo codes on them and they can't give me a commission when people use a promo code. They are not getting refunds or chargebacks or anything. They are quality products, but I feel they are skimming affiliates and hiding behind the fact that they state someone uses a promo code.

True, low quality products get a lot of refunds.

Also check your content - are you misleading the reader in anyway?

They are not a low-quality product. The affiliate manager just tells me they are using promo codes and decline why sale when they come in.

Kind of losing trust in them. 2 out of 2 commissions have been reversed so far. I have sold $402 worth of products for them and should receive $60.32. However, I have gotten zero credit for sales.

It's just a review of their product. Not misleading or anything. I can send you the link PM if you want to look.

Yep, reversals tend to be due to a crappy product. If people are wanting their money back 9 times out of 10 it's because they're not satisfied with what they've purchased. Sounds like it's time to look for an alternative (better) product to promote.

It would also be wise to look through your promotional content & make sure that what you're not setting false expectations. For example if a product is great, but I told them "X" about it and it wasn't true - they'd probably want a refund after finding out.

They won't give commissions because people are using promo codes. It's a way to skim affiliates I believe. Can send you a link via PM if you want to look at my page, but getting annoyed with reversing affiliate earnings.

I would abandon that affiliate program immediately - they’re using YOUR money to fund their customers discounts.

Yeah, I am considering just switching it back to Amazon affiliate links for them because they keep screwing me. That is $402 for them and 0 for me.

Sounds like a crappy product buddy. People might be getting refunds, or, the affiliate program is ripping you off. What is it out of curiosity?

They sell essential oil nebulizers. I can tell you who they are in a PM. They are quality products, but they keep reversing sales because they say someone used a promo code on them. I believe it's just smoke in mirrors, though.

I have a website I am hoping to get fully developed soon. I want a custom sidebar that I can assign user roles to. It needs to integrate with Easy Digital Downloads. Basical

I have learnt something too

Thanks Richard

Hey Garen,

You may find it best to seek out themes for membership sites. And just to give you a "heads up"... it is my understanding that membership sites cannot be hosted on WA servers... though, please DO verify that fact with SiteSupport https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support as I am only repeating here what I have seen others state as a fact. But I have not seen any written ruling to that effect.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks, I understand, but it's not a membership website. They just need to login to pay and they download their file instantly.

If they need to login then they're members.

I was running my site through Google insights, for instance, this page:

https://mys

I'd recommend Autoptimize

https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/

and see these

I would also recommend Autoptimize as well. And congratulations on achieving a score of 💯!

Thank you I will install it and configure it. Hopefully my score goes up :)

You're welcome!

I did install https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/ but didn't get me over 60 for mobile. I supposed I could try your tutorial and see if that works.

Just installing the plugin won't help at all. You need to configure it properly in order to make some changes :)

You can check out the plugin page and you can search on Google for recommended settings.

I did configure the settings.

Another thing ...

Mobile speed is one thing ... And mobile friendliness is another ... The latter one contains the first one and many other factors like font size, the size of the "clickable" tap elements, etc.

So you can have a quite good mobile speed and a not so good overall mobile friendliness score

On this page I have on lavender essential oil: https://myscentedoils.com/lavender-essential

Hi Garen,

I think adding the word Lavender to each of the 17 subtopics is a bit of an overkill. When I read the table of content, it makes sense to me that they belong to Lavender and not other type of oil.

Reminds me that I should be using my oils for frequently to help with insomnia ;)

Thanks, Cathy. Maybe, an h3 tag under the sleep one with some good keywords on how to use it for sleep, though?

Trying to put more targetted keywords in the article without looking spammy.

Yeah, not on the content. It looks spammy but H3 on each of the topics sounds better.

For example;

Sleep Your Way Through Lavender-land
Bug Hates Lavender
Relieve Anxiety and Stress With Lavender
Antimicrobial Properties of Lavender
Lavender as Natural Remedy to Diabetes

And so on...

Yeah, check it out for now. Just made an update for on the sleep one. But, I think I should update them all like that.
