At the weekend, Novak Djokovic won his fourth Wimbledon Tennis Championship after making a come back following a couple of years of being off his game after an injury.

The Serbian-born player beat Kevin Anderson in straight sets as the temperature on Centre Court soared.

But it has not been all plain sailing for him, despite his obvious talent. In 2016 Djokovic crashed out in the first round of the Rio Olympics and also in that year, he lost to a player ranked out of the top 100 for the first time, got knocked out in the 3rd round of Wimbledon and lost his No.1 ranking to Andy Murray at the end of the year.

Despite this, he rested, regrouped, retrained and changed his coach. The formula worked and Djokovic is now the proud holder of the Wimbledon trophy yet again.

Now this post is not about tennis but it is a call to action for everyone here at Wealthy Affiliate who wants to 'win' at this affiliate marketing game.

The lesson here is:

"Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win!"

Let me say that again, just so we all understand:

"Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win!"

Affiliate marketing takes time - it is not a get-rich-quick scheme and if you think that it is, then sadly, you will find out the hard way that it isn't. However, it is:

• a proven way that you can make money online
  
• a serious alternative to working for someone else
  
• an investment that you can make in yourself and your future
  
• the potential for a full time income
  
• amazing fun!

BUT....

You have to keep going.

You need to stick with the program, follow the training and invest the time (and in my opinion, the money for premium membership (<$300 per year) in order to reap the rewards.

The proof is out there. Many people here have blogged about it, and explained that this takes time (usually between 6 months and 2 years or more). But think of it this way:

In the UK now it takes 3 years to get a degree and the minimum is will cost you is £27,000. And that is without living expenses or rent. That is just for the tuition fees alone!

£27,000 and no guarantee of a job at the end of it!

If you took out premium membership on the yearly basis here, and worked on it for 3 years, it would cost you less than $1,000!
