When all else fails - trust in you!

It's all going horribly wrong...

There are times in life when everything seems to be going wrong. You may be in debt, you may have lost a loved-one, your health may not be at its best or your relationship or job may hang in the balance. We've all been there, and if you haven't, then consider yourself very lucky.

One of the great mysteries of life to me, when observing people, is the resilience we manage to find in the darkest hours. We all have resilience, even though many of us think that we do not. And it is often in what many people call, 'the dark night of the soul' that we really dig deep and find it.

Think of all the stories you know - most of them follow a similar story line - a hero/heroine needs to go off and 'find themselves' before confronting an enemy - and it is when they do this, face their fear and overcome it, that they can finally vanquish their foe, proving that the real enemy is really always within us.

But take heart, this is a good thing. We are all individuals on our own path and living our own lives, experiencing new things, particular to us - which is the way it should be. So have faith in your own version of reality and trust that all will come good in the end. Sometimes that's all we have - a faith and trust in ourselves - but it's really all we need too!

Life's lessons

A friend of mine fell and badly broke her leg a few years ago, and at the time, she felt that this was the end of the world for her. She had just started a new job and could not longer drive to it, so had to give it up. However, whilst she was recuperating, she was forced to think about her situation and confront the problems she had been running away from for years. She came up with the idea of starting her own business and you can guess what happened next, can't you?

In the time she had been 'gifted' to recover from her broken leg, she managed to research, plan and start her own online business, and she never went back to working full time after that.

So sometimes, the dark times are really just preparations for the light. Because the shadows define the light more clearly and show you what you really need to know. Without shadows, there is no spotlight to stand in!

And in the words of one of my favourite mentors, Esther Hicks - "It's OK, help's on the way"! You don't need to know where it's coming from, just trust that it's coming and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Hoping that this message may ring true for those who need it today.

Wishing you love and happiness always.

Gail

It's really true about the darkest hour coming right before dawn. Sometimes when we are really on a downturn, we find that the very thing we needed is down here; now we can take it with us and use it.

Ah, yes, Esther -- I went to one live presentation while Jerry was still alive. Remarkable!

I'm jealous Fran. See EH in the flesh is top of my list of things to do. Love it! Have a great day. Gail

Pretty remarkable for me, actually, since I had to travel from AK to CA to attend. It was worth it.

Hay Gail,
Long time no talk. Hope you are doing well. Yes, I have seen similar practical story of my relatives and friends as well. Really sad and painful. We can not do much, but be with them to support, That's all.
Thank you
Sham

Love the story and post, Gail! Things have a way of working out the way they are supposed to!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Don't they just?! Have a great day too. Sunday's nearly over here!

😎👍

Yep - I've been there - physically with illness, debt, almost homeless, etc. But you have to tie a knot in the rope and hang on for dear life. Those are the moments you find out what you're really made of.

Thanks for the post, Gail!
Isaiah 😊

Thanks for reading and your comments Isaiah. Those knots can come in useful, eh?! Hope you're on the way up again now. Gail

Yes - doing better, and still climbing! Thanks!

That's the thing about being at the bottom - the only way is up! :)
