Reassuringly familiar at Wealthy Affiliate and a nice surprise re traffic
Hello all you lovely Wealthy Affiliate friends (old ones and those I have yet to meet)
How reassuring and lovely to connect with you all again after a little time away, for no other reason than I've been busy with work and getting through the last 18 months - like everyone I guess. I've continued to be a member all this time, although I haven't logged in that much.
However, on logging in today, I'm very reassured to find the place as friendly and as familiar as always with some great advice and useful information being offered to all. There's also lots of new webinars and training programmes that I need to catch up on, and my sites need a bit of work, too.
Having checked up on things though, I've had rather a nice surprise - having not really paid much attention to my membership for just over a year, I find that I have some residual income from previous commissions to the tune of $240 (which is not to be sneezed at) and just shows that you really can earn some passive income here - so thank you WA!
No new posts but my traffic has still grown
I'm also a little ashamed to say, that my main site has had no new posts since January 2020, (apart from the 3 I've just put up in the last few days) but on checking on Google Analytics again, my visitors have remained fairly consistent over this time, and have even grown a little - nothing earth-shattering, but I'm so pleased to see that people are still visiting my site, despite my own lack of postings. You can see this from the audience graph below.
So, thank you to Wealthy Affiliate for still being here, for bringing me some passive income and for keeping my dreams alive!
I'm so looking forward to connecting with you all again and learning some new things. I've already posted 3 new articles on my site within the last week, have written this blog, and am now exploring all the new educational content.

Thanks Bob - good to meet you too. I agree, that my site was not new when I left it and I had certainly put the work in on it before my latest absence, so it is good to know that it wasn't all wasted. I still have a lot of updating to do on it, but that's going to be fun!

I'm not saying that you don't need to be consistent as I also know that writing consistently will keep your posts higher in the rankings. The only explanation that I can think of is that previously, I had written fairly consistently and my site was quite established before this break with over 60 posts, so it was not a new site. I've been working on it since 2018. Also, I guess some content may stand the test of time better than others, depending on what you are writing about. My site is really about self-improvement and spiritual things, so I some of the keywords may not be as time-sensitive as posts about 'the best XYZ of a certain year", although I'm only guessing on that one and have no real data to go on.
Thirdly, as my site is about the law of attraction and your thoughts creating your reality, I'd have to give the universe some credit too!
