OK, unfortunately I've been a bit slack in writing posts recently due to having to turn my attention to other personal matters, but I'm back on track now and I'm setting myself a writing challenge for the next month.

I intend to write one quality post a day for 30 days.

There, I've said it now, so I have to do it, right?!

There may be hurdles to leap over ...

There may be hoops to jump through...

It might be a difficult, uphill struggle ...

And I may well have biten off more than I can chew ...

I just might need a bit of help ...

But I'm determined to do it.

The good thing is I've already written 3 posts in the last 3 days with a total just short of 7,000 words so I'm off to a good start.

Watch this space and I will report on my progress periodically.

Am off now to sharpen a few pencils and train a few monkeys!

On your marks, Get Set,

GO GAIL!

Way to go, Gail ; Best Alan

Thanks Alan

I like your sense of humor and the good visual way you put things in perspective. Let's go, warrior! Sharpen your pencil and finish with it what Napoleon didn't do with his sword. Good luck!!

Haha - will try!

All the best Gail.

Thank you.

Are these posts on your site Gail? If so I want to see it!

The ones I've done recently are yes - on my affiliate site and 1 on my law of attraction site. You may need a large brandy and your bedsocks though as they are relatively weighty! :)

Bring it on Gail!♥

Great challenge- I love it! I like Steven’s idea too. Good luck!

Michelle :)

Thanks Michelle.

All the very best!

Thank you.

Wow that is some challenge. I wish you every success with this one.
My 3 a week is all I can manage at the moment.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

It's not a race Karen, but I need to catch up a bit! :)

Good luck you have set yourself a high bar. Knowing you it will be another milestone.
Jerry

Thanks Jerry for your confidence. I'm actually really looking forward to it.

But don't you also need a plan on how the posts will fill out the structure of your website? For example, won't you need to create 3 or 4 categories under which you write the posts?

This would seem to make it easier since 10 posts or so would be for each category. Thus, making it easier to identify the topics.

Then with that information, plan how the 10 posts for that category contribute to the topic as a whole? Each post a part of the puzzle so to speak.

I'm just trying to think this through and understand it myself so I can do it myself. I think (and maybe I'm overthinking it, I can do that) that just a lot of even high-quality posts that don't fit together to complete the puzzle aren't going to help a lot with sales. And, I'm asking myself how I can create sales and ROI more than ranking and traffic numbers.

I think these are all great ideas Stephen, yes. I have already got ideas for over 30 posts sitting in SiteContent that I've been storing there indefinitely. Did you see Loes comment as well as she has done this 3 times now and has some great advice too.
Let us know when you're going to start and we can help each other.
Gail

I've been giving this a lot of thought and almost quit. Not my style really but I've put in a lot of time and work into it with nothing to show even though everyone that looks at the site tells me positive things.

I think I will start to rebuild my website starting with a new theme tomorrow. I also need to rewrite titles and some of my posts. The are well optimized with Squirrly but only two of the 24 are ranking #1 and the next one is #12 and then #24 and it gets dismal from there. In short, the site is not working.

So, it will be a few days maybe a week before I start to write new posts. But, I'm here for you Gail. Which of your two websites are you going to focus on?

Thanks Steven. Sorry to hear that you are on the edge of quitting - please don't. You know it will pay off in the end, really it will. It's always good to take a fresh look at things and re-evaluate. I did that with my affiliate site recently and I'm much happier with it now. Everything is organised neatly into 12 categories that I'm systematically filling. I need to focus on some product reviews as I'm great on educational and informational stuff but less keen on the reviews but that is where the money is.
I also need to redesign my law of attraction site as I'm not completely happy with that but my take on it, for what it's worth, is that most people visit the posts rather than than the overall site to start with, so I can make changes gradually.
Wishing you all the best and I truly appreciate your support. We're all here for you too! :) In droves!

I agree. Since I'm not getting readers I can't fault the content or site but first need to focus on the titles and marketing. If I get visitors to the site but don't get sales then it's content.

Thanks, Gail. :)

Great goal, I did this 3 times now, it really boost your website
here are my tips

Love this. Thank you. I'll be taking it all on board and there are some great tips there. Will definitely let you know how I get on. Thanks again. Gail

You're welcome, Gail
