Have you ever thought about how you greet people and respond to comments and questions?

Are you always using the same old, tired words?

Well, the English (and other) languages are awash with alternatives, so here are just a few you might like to consider:

Some greetings you could use:

"Hello"

"Hi"

"Welcome"

"Greetings"

"Nice to meet you"

"Dear"

"Really good to hear from you"

"Lovely to meet you"

"Good to meet you on here"

"Great to engage with you on the site"

"Hola"

"Salut"

"Good morning"

"Good day/afternoon/evening"

"Wonderful to connect with you"

"Glad to have made your acquaintance"

Alternatives to use when responding to comments and blogs:

"I appreciate your kind comments"

"Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts"

"Some great insight here"

"Your comments are truly appreciated"

"Thanks for your input"

"I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment"

"I'm grateful for your opinion"

"It's good to know that you find the article useful"

"I totally agree with your point on"

"You made a great point about"

"One thing that made me think was"

"I can totally see where you are coming from"

"You seem to have thoroughly researched this"

"I can see that a lot of ...research/time/effort... has gone into this"

"I really appreciate your honest opinion"

"You have opened my eyes about X"

"I feel I have learned a lot from you about"

"It's great to find articles that offer substantive information"

"I'm so glad I found your article"

"This information is just what I was looking for"

"I was searching for data on X and found your article/site"

"Your article made me question X"

Suggestions for posing questions:

"If I could query one thing"

"Knowing me, I might have come to a different conclusion"

"I appreciate your point about X, however,"

"In my experience"

"It's interesting you say X because I have found Y"

"I just have one question about"

"I'd really appreciate your advice about"

""Could you offer some clarification on"

And many, many more!

You can always find lots of synonyms to help vary your writing and improve your general writing too by using a thesaurus like https://www.thesaurus.com/ too. (Not an affiliate link)

Wishing you all a magnificent, prosperous and blithesome day!

And feel free to add some more suggestions in the comments box below. Your inspirations will be very gratefully received. Thank you.

Welcome! Sure!

I never would have thought to worry about changing how I interact with people. It will be wise to do so now so I thank you for putting this out there for all of us to learn and read.

Evening Douglas. I don't think you should worry, but maybe as you say, it's worth considering. Hope it was helpful at least. Have a wonderful day, and thank you again for taking the time to add your thoughts.
Gail.

Yea I think I may try to change up how I talk in my words as it makes the commenting more fun and worth the time for everyone who reads it more exciting. Glad I could stop by and read this for sure.
Thank you
Douglas
