Duncan, I'm assuming you remembered to save the new password...lol.
Not sure why that does not work for you. A few things I can think of are:
1. It does not meet the password rules for length and number/symbol mix
2. Or your computer is caching the old page and you may need to refresh your browser, CTRL+F5, or try another browser.
3. Or you've tried one time too many with the wrong password and it locks you out for a little while.
I'd normally advise to log out and log back in...but it might lock you out if neither your old or new password works right now.
On the other hand, if you have any recent WA email notifications, you should be able to come back in via any current link within that email. ~Jude

Due to shipping restrictions on some Amazon products on my site, I want to limit it to the USA. How do I focus my site on this one region? I can't find the answer on WA search.
Hello Duncan,
To name a few..
..how to target traffic specific to a country:
1. Adding a dedicated sub-domain to your root site for specific country
2. Using Google Webmaster Tools settings to target country-specific traffic
3. Creating country specific domains
4. Building your content using country specific language
5. Hosting your sites with country-based website hosting
I hope this gives you some new ideas
Regards,
Henry
Yes it is, now that you mention it. Things you forget and need reminding of. Thanks heaps.
It is very difficult to block certain area of the world from your website. What you can do though is only concentrate on the US is through your advertising. If you use ads only target the US. Google does this. Just use the websites that are specific to the US. Also put a disclaimer on your website that you only ship to the US.
Why look for plugins when there are themes that can roll this function in! https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/mkleef/2009/03/11/windows-7-country-specific-themes-how-to-add-more/
Here's a link that may help you, Duncan.

Hi Jerome,
That is a great blog. It is so very helpful. It has given me so much useful info that I have bookmarked it.
Thank you,
Duncan
You can cause a site to read the IP address of the user and have it react accordingly. EG Qantas seeks where you are by your IP address and offers the appropriate site if you are in either Australia or the USA.
You might be able to find a plugin for this, but otherwise it might be a customization to react based on the IP. eg Show the USA site for USA IP addresses. Show a 'sorry you cannot purchase some items on this site' if you have an IP that is from outside the USA.
It is not that easy .. especially I suspect for the USA because one of the criteria will be the TLD which will be .com and is also the generic TLD. Here is link to Google Console Help which explains. Cheers, William.

Hey Duncan,
In Google searching "Force a wp website to be specific to a country" (without the quotation marks, of course) I see there are a few options offer that you may want to go through in order to discover which one would work best for you.

Sorry for what is happening, but I have been using Google Chrome for long and have no issues at all. Keep on cleaning and updating, sometimes when an update is not completed it does something weird on the machine.
Hi Duncan, if you have Windows 10, on the settings all you need is turn on the updates automatically, it is only running in the background, so you don't need to always go there to check for an update. You can modify the time you want to run it and it will give you an alert when to restart your machine for the updates to kick in. One more thing that is causing the problem, is that if your Windows Defender is on and you have another antivirus software, running at the same time, it can make your machine unstable. If you have the antivirus, turn off the Defender on the settings, and if not Windows Defender will take care the rest. Since I learned from one of my classmates before, in IT, Windows Defender is enough to have for antivirus, it is Microsoft Security Essentials before, it is also running in the background and you don't need to always scan your machine for issues.
Hey Duncan,
Firefox is my preferred browser. Won't allow Chrome on my business computer at all.

I have windows 10 and I use chrome 100% of the time and it hasn't been giving me any problems. I try using Edge and everytime I open it it jumps to another position on the screen which drives me crazy. A lot of other people are having the problem but Microsoft doesn't seem to care and just don't answer support questions.
I'm on a Mac, and I haven't been able to use Chrome for about a year. I first noticed a problem here at WA, when I went to my network Chrome would only show 10 names (I had well over 1000 in my WA network). I went to Safari and there was my full network.
I try Chrome, every once in a while, but there's something wrong with it on my computer, so I stick with Safari.
I am not as privileged as that to have a Mac with Safari! :))
Only kidding, but an excellent observation.
Google, dump local DNS on ,(place your platform here, Ducan, i.e. Windows 10). Then follow the directions.

I am curious to know how many themes members tried before settling on the current one. In my technology site, I started with the "Twenty-fourteen" theme and trialed the Twenty-
50+ at least. I am using different themes on each of my websites.
Themes currently in use:
DK
Latte
Responsive Deluxe
Digital Pro on Genesis Framework
I think a looked at only a couple when I was trying to choose.
I selected one that I felt comfortable with and have continued to work with it for the last 5 months. It was most important for me, to get the information on my website and be moving forward with the training instead of worrying about the theme.
I bought a package from StudioPress. I think it is too much for me because they all so good. I tried five of them
51?? I lost track, I have tried so many on different themes
And for some I have settled for the second best, gave up.
I have 2 terrific ones, the Sydney theme and Lifestyle
I do too, but I am afraid to activate it on a site with more than 145 post and pages, it could ruin the complete website
I have been told that before. It could be also trying for perfection and not being satisfied. Lol
Hi Robert. I lost count of how many themes I've tried lol. I'm still looking for "the one".
Thanks,
Marsha

I have tried a few on my two other sites but want one that will complement the window washing industry.
Hi Duncan, The themes : SongWriter, Omega WordPress, and twenty sixteen are not bad. I used SongWriter. Hope that can help you.
Hi Duncan, I checked a couple of window washer businesses in my area and these two use wordpress and I indicated the theme that they use.
http://aerowindowcleaning.com/ Theme: Zerif Lite
http://affordable-and-professional.com/ Theme: OptimizePress
If you google window washers and then check the URL using the link from Marion you can easily see what theme they are using, if they are using wordpress. I found a couple of others but they were not WP sites.
Have a great day.
Joe
From my point of view, your theme, although its important, is the priority whey setting up you new site. You should focus on content..... things that would stimulate interest and credibility. You can set up a new theme anytime with a bit of work.
I agree with Ian (IMc). Check out other businesses to see what theme they're using for their websites. My service of choice is http://whatwpthemeisthat.com/ it will tell you what theme they're using and even what plugins they have active.
Thank you very much, Marion. I followed Ian's advice and it is a great way to fast track theme research.
Hi Duncan, cannot suggest a theme suited for your business, search for the relevant theme everywhere in the net, nothing impossible now. Good luck hunting.
To me i think a theme should not be the problem right now, but rather, simple go to your word press themes and chose any team that has features of your chosen business apply it and head over to google and download an image about window washing business and simply use that as your site header but don't forget to add a tagline under site title and your site would be good.
The easy way to do it is to see what other window cleaning businesses elsewhere in Oz are doing. Chances are they'll be using WordPress. Then use http://www.wpthemedetector.com to find the theme.
Search in a few cities, check the top 5 results from each & you'll be able to get a shortlist of themes you like and which work well on a window cleaning site.
Thank you so much for those great ideas. I have not heard of that theme detector site. I will try that.
Hello
I Hope the contact form you can look at this Creating contact Page How ? as on theme i Can suggest Fashstore , you please work on it and look other options too Best wishes for your business
I use Thrive themes either Squared or Ignition but there are several to choose from. They are all very versatile so should give you what you want.
