Top Tips to Making a Success of Content Marketing!
Most of us will see the term "content marketing" and wonder how does a "One-Man (or Woman) Show" do this? Isn't this for the advertising houses that have dedicated content writers to complement the design gurus? Sometimes it leaves scratching my head wondering how I can use content marketing more effectively.
I want to share an informative article that highlights some tips to succeed at this. It also introduces "curated content".

What did you think about the concept of curated content? Have you tried it before? I would love to hear your views on this style of marketing your site.
Till next time,

I am considering starting a blog and this was information I can really use. I guess you can call it "right place, right time." thanks Duncan
I hope it provides some useful info for your blog. I am sure many will enjoy what you put together.
I started reading other articles on the site and "curated content" is mentioned all over the place. This site is excellent. I've just singed up. Thank you for the link.
Hi, Duncan...
Curated content is a good way to present popular information to your subscribers and website visitors I think...What I will often do is give credit to the source and then add my own take or further relevant information to the content...
This makes it somewhat unique, yet also draws in some of the people that have an interest (of course you will look for content that is current and of interest)...
I believe I read somewhere that about 30% of content on the internet is copied - makes sense when you look at the social platforms, where interesting posts, memes, or videos are liked, shared, or posted on other group or fan pages, etc...
Cheers!

Hi Dave,
That is very interesting info you've shared. Curated comments are appearing more and more, and places like scoop.it are encouraging people to use this tool as a way to promote their websites.
Great to catch up again.
Duncan
Curated content seems like a nice alternative. (If I understand correctly, it's basically a roundup of other people's written content.) It's nice to have all kinds of content on a blog--including curated content--to add variety and greater interest.
Actually, just saw this Putting the IDEA of Curation to REST! Curating other people's content isn't a good idea at all, but one can curate one's own content to organize around a theme.
I just read Kyle's article from nearly 5 years ago and it is all very valid. I don't curate content onto my site. That is the lazy way to add articles. I only add articles or blogs that I have written.
Scoop.it is designed to help you find content on similar themes, read it and then share it on social media. That allows the reader to potentially click on to your site to do follow up reading. I only use Scoop.it occassionally if something stands out as worth the read.
For example, I have a site about Samsung technology. I share articles onto social media that are about Samsung. Scoop.it finds them for me.
I hope that answers your concerns about it.
Regards,
Duncan
