Get Rich Scheme?

Last Update: July 31, 2017

Well, not really.

I am writing this because of yet another posting in the live chat that I answered today.

It seems that several times a week I see posts from new people wanting to know how quickly they will get paid, or how soon can I expect to make my first $10,000.

I am convinced that somehow many of these folks have gotten the wrong impression of what is offered here and what promises are made here at WA. I don't recall Kyle, Carson, Jay or anyone else for that matter ever saying that we will make a lot of money in a very short time with little or no effort.

What we are promised is that if we follow the training and work with determined effort that in time we will begin to generate traffic and then sales. The level of sales is never guaranteed, the speed at which those sales come is never promised.

What so many seem to miss is that we are all trying to develop and build a business in which we are the boss as well as the worker bee. This takes as much time and effort as starting a repair shop or a grocery store.

We need to make a major investment of our time and effort. We need to learn all we can from the training and apply it to our businesses. We are, to a very large degree, the masters of our own fates here at WA.

There is little reason that we can't succeed, but there is no guarantee that we will. The harder we work, the more we learn, the better we become at applying what we learn, the better our chances of success become.

So, learn from those that have gone before us, apply the lessons that they teach us, help each other, and most important, know that time is our friend not our enemy. The more time we spend at this, the better our chances of success.

Good Luck and Best Wishes to all of you that read this and let's all do our best to spread the word that this is a business, not Facebook or Twitter.

Have a Blessed Day

Frank

Thank you so much James. I try my best to speak about things that I have learned over the years or things that are on my mind. I am so glad that you got something out of it. God Bless.

Thanks Frank. I read of tales of people on here for 18 months and have made no money. The question is-are they putting in the time, dedication, commitment, hard work that reaps rewards? Everyone's different. I'll dedicate myself to this program and let every one know of my success. I know it won't be over night. I'm giving myself 3 years to be able to retire from my job. If I fail then I guess it's my own fault. Let's support and encourage each other (whole community ) to aspire to a better way of life

Well said Anthony. No one here at WA can guarantee that any of us will succeed, but if we don't give it everything we have for as long as it takes, then we have NO chance to succeed.

Thank you Frank, good honest truth. It's the work we put into it that generates the rewards we get from it... eventually. I've been a business owner, the brick and mortar type. Nothing short of blood, sweat and tears. Hardest thing I've ever done, but also the most satisfying and personally rewarding, including personal growth. I think the personal growth element is what is being overlooked by the quick-fix seekers. Anything that can change you life, well, must CHANGE you (and by you, I mean me ;))

All the best! Laura

I think that is a fair assessment of what is going on here. People are believing too much in the hype and not enough in the work that is needed to get something going.

You are so correct Maurice. It seems that more and more people these days are looking to get everything for no effort. It just doesn't work that way and never has.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog. Have a Blessed Day.

You too, my friend. Your blogs are interesting and go to prove that common sense isn't that common!

Thanks, The common sense thing is something that always surprises me. I just can't wrap my arms around the thought processes that so many others have that just don't seem to make any sense. How can anyone expect to get rich and not have to work the tails off to get there?

Some people never get the message.

Hi Frank, thank you and well done. Your message is absolutely clear and so true. You got to sow before you can reap. If it is instant gratification people are looking for, then they will always be disappointed and keep on searching for ever. Always be realistic, do your part diligently and results will follow.

Blessings and enjoy the day.

Thanks for driving this point home Frank! Being pretty new, we get anxious to get things going and our hopes & dreams sometimes outweigh our efforts. Your post is a needed reminder that building a business takes time. There are some stories about people getting unconsciously lucky and on the fast track rapidly. But these are rare happenings. If we're serious about marketing our business, we must have an attitude adjustment toward this business. It most likely will not happen overnight! If we need immediate money , this is not the basket to put all our apples in,. If we want to build a worthwhile business that gradually increases in popularity, then this is the attitude to work on!
Thanks for posting!

That is my point Barbara, there are very many "to good to be true" programs out there. Wealthy Affiliate, however, is not one of them. We are building business here, not taking peoples money with nothing in return.

This is an excellent post, and unfortunately what you have written about is noticeable so often these days. Instant gratification is required or people just move on, possibly missing out on great things.

Thank you Steven for your insightful comment. "Instant Gratification" is a real problem especially for the younger members of this community. The benefits of hard work and determined effort go far beyond just the financial. Have a Blessed Day Stevern.

Thank you Teresa, I really appreciate your comments. We reap what we sow, trouble is many, especially the younger members here don't get the idea. I hope this blog helps a few of them get the picture.

Right you are Robert. It seems that it is mostly the young people that have this problem...Their experience is not yet sufficient for them to really know what it takes to become a successful business owner.

Have a Blessed Day.

Thank you Michael. You have affirmed my thoughts regarding this subject.

Do you find that a good many of the new people you come in contact with here have the opinion that they should be able to become financially independent very quickly with very little effort?

Always good to hear from you.

Good post, Frank. This is a message that must be said constantly because there are so many shiny objects being promoted.

Thanks for stopping by Glen. "SHINY OBJECTS" I love the analogy. We need to all be aware of the necessary elements of a good foundation if we are to have any chance of success here in the online world.

Have a Blessed Day Glen.

Great point to make, Frank. Like any business it needs to have work put in when you are starting. Kyle and Carson have built an amazing foundation for us to use and gain more knowledge to apply to building our own businesses. This, like any job or startup business, requires time, patience, and perseverance. Thanks for bringing this up.
