Can we run a blog without a social media page attached to it?
Why do some affiliate programs ask for a minimum number of followers?

It's all good and technically we're all newbies as there's lots to learn each 'n every day ..... so it's all ok to ask questions and to discuss them as we learn from each other ....
as for running a successful on-line biz, there are many success stories that are already shared here on the platform to inspire us all along this amazing WA journey ... regarding social media and followers -- it's a way for search engines to quantify the level of engagement and interest your website holds for an audience and likely yes, affiliate programs like to see a sufficient degree of seriousness and engagement and consistency of content being built on your site as a viable, successful endeavor .... hope this helps your understanding a wee bit ...
now having said all the above, really suggest you carry on with the amazing WA training to successful completion for a much better comprehension of what an on-line biz entails and requires in terms of your own vision and goals ...

Hi Floris,
They want to make money also.
So, they need to know if you will have sufficient traffic coming to your website to make conversions.
Don't worry to much about it, just follow the training and all thing will fall into place.
