Social Media Marketing Do's and Don'ts

With more competition than a WWE Royal Rumble...it's relatively difficult for the average marketer to stand out and stand alone from the hot marketers. Why? They are doing as what the pros do and they are trying to do it better.

In 2016, self identification is a powerful factor in order to shed the skin off the ordinary. This content is for you to understand the compliance necessary to grow and avoid failing your online social media marketing business.

Don't

  • Don't automate your account - People who choose YOUR product is looking for YOUR help so they must have YOUR feedback. If automation within social media marketing suits you, it may not make it to where you want it to be. You've got to be live and direct otherwise your account may be looked upon as unreal or possibly even a scam.
  • Don't abandon your account - Your business is YOUR business. If you let a burger cook on a flame grill and just hope for the best, you'll only get the worst (assuming you were not planning on saving up for a new hockey puck.) You will need to be in the present and omnipresent for your audience. Your time in should rarely be on timeout.
  • Don't ignore your followers - This compliance is extremely critical for your growth. Ignoring your followers may bypass the first two strikes leaving you struck out immediately. Say you have that 999th follower who's been in out and all throughout your product and has something nasty or critically damaging to say about it. Without engaging your followers and addressing the concern, it can shut you down fast and for good. Nor should you delete what was posted. You lose credibility that way.
  • Don't jump the gun - Proper internet marketing is just like brick and mortar marketing. Have you ever seen a medicine commercial where they state the side effects BEFORE the actual benefit? You wouldn't want to do that with your product either. It's ok to hold back on every detail. This could promote negative criticism. It's easy to introduce your business, but to your audience, they don't care about you or your business. They just want what you are going to give to them. Make it about their needs, their wants and their desires first.
  • Don't be a jerk - It's OK to post... that's how you step into the vast ocean of social media but don't be a glitch in the system. Posting too much can seem like spam. Slapping ads on unrelated audience needs will make you look like a jerk so don't do it. Also, if no one likes your post, it's totally OK for you not to like it either. It doesn't mean it's bad, perhaps it's just the wrong audience or needs to be tweaked a little to match the right audience.

Do

  • Be a jack of all trades - Surely anyone who's anyone would love to know how to make money on Facebook. Everyone's on it and it seems like the perfect niche. But truthfully, your content may become more suitable for pinterest or twitter depending on your target audience. By now, if you're already on the rise with your own product, you know who your audience is. You should tailor your product to the consumer otherwise they simply wont care even if you're selling eternal life.
  • Build your personality for profit - The best way to create distinction is to do what the pros do but better. How do you do that? The goal in mind is marketing but what makes it easier for you is having either a more likable personality or likable approach to executing your marketing strategy. It's hard to get excited over dullness. Ask yourself what you can and are willing to do differently in order to boldly go where no marketer has gone before... I went there.
  • Call the grammar police - Not many people are going to get excited about buying your "How too do" information or your "Trim the fat off your waste". On the contrary, they may call the local police on you. To avoid that from occurring, I would suggest paying attention to detail. Time and grammar are key factors. Little mistakes in grammar could proliferate bad credibility in your product. Time your social media posts correctly. If you're posting about the best New York City breakfast restaurant at 11pm EST, most likely your audience will be either oblivious to this or too inebriated to remember where they wanted to go get breakfast tomorrow.
  • Provide outstanding customer service - Obviously, this compliance will create things you'll need in order to be successful like trust, friendship and possibly referrals. It's OK to be nice to people even if you've your numbers aren't quite where they should have been all year long.
  • Keep up with the latest trends - One cool thing about social media marketing is that it's a niche that will always be hot. But in order for you to flourish through it, you've got to be hot too. Investigate the professionals on multiple social media programs. If you try feeding cold turkey to hot prospects, your business could become just that... cold turkey.

Please let me know if I have any weird grammatical issues with this post. I hope you've enjoyed my blog! If so, hit that like button below and I'll see you at the beach sides of the world!
