I have just watched a very helpful video and I thought I would share a summary of that same video by Brian Dean for all of us to work toward getting a higher ranking on Google.

• Make your content actionable: give them simple solutions to their problems
  
• Use the OBP formula: start with the outcome that reader is looking for then describe the b benefit to them if they engage with your post, and then give them a preview of what the post covers to entice them to keep reading.
• Use authoritative external links. : pages using external links will rank higher on Google.
• Use internal links.: refer people to other pages or posts on your site to add value to what they are looking for.
• Quality graphics, photos, videos and, charts will give your site more appeal to both the reader and Google.and improve the design of your site if carefully selected and placed. Visual images will engage the reader and keep them on your site longer. This image is from pexels.

• CTR optimize your title. That is to choose a title which will increase your organic Click Through Rate. Use terms like " find out how now, or Here are 5 ways to improve
• Optimize your content for semantic SEO: mention your target keyword several times in your content and distribute other related words and phrases throughout your content to help Google get a good grip on what your topic is trying to say.
• Generate lots of comments on your post. Respond to all comments received, making your post more like an active community of people engaging with your content. Make your conclusion a call to action which will encourage people to respond.
• Use Click to Tweet buttons, add these at strategic points throughout your post to entice people to share your content at various stages. Social shares deliver more traffic and more traffic improves ranking.Use https://clicktotweet.com Here is an example.https://ctt.ec/e7SL7
• Promote your page or post with the Content Roadshow https://ninjaoutreach.com Find people who are genuinely interested in your topic,
• Do either a Google search or use something like Buzz Sumo http://buzzsumo.com/ Contact the people you find to see if they would be interested in reading your article engage with them but dont just push links in front of them.
• Regularly update your content or the appearance of your site. Keep it up to date and relevant and improve the readability of the site.
