Are You Guilty Too?

The smooth talking sales people and their glossy and persuasive ads can very easily lead the unsuspecting dream chaser to part with their hard-earned cash and buy into their devious proposal which is, in their words guaranteed to make you a lot of money.

They are no better than those ugly people we would warn our children about when they were young. "Do not talk to strangers " we would warn them. These people would lure them away with the offer of something really sweet and inviting and the kids would trust them thinking they were nice people. This was to their peril. They were only trying to gratify their own depraved needs and did not spare a thought for the well-being of the child. Such people should be named and shamed publicly.

As adults we face a more sophisticated form of being lured in the wrong direction, down a path which will only bleed us of our money and leave us in a more desperate situation than before we started. Everyone of us needs to be aware and when we come across these predators to name and shame them. Call them out for what they are. Expose their sinister and deceptive schemes that prey on the minds of innocent people who just want to earn a little extra to help support their families.

I am so thankful to the people in Wealthy Affiliate who have called many of these to account in their scam reviews. These scammers are everywhere and they are using the internet to lure innocent people into their nets. . We need to warn each other not to be taken in by the glitzy websites or offer of freebies to get our attention.

Every week in WA I learn of more of these schemers through reading peoples reviews on their Wealthy Affiliate websites. There are also many sites which attempt to expose these sinister people. In Australia, we have a Government funded site called https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/

We also have some of our very own Wealthy Affiliate members working on it. One I came across is https://scamavenger.com/a-list-of-scam-websites

Another very comprehensive site is https://www.thebalance.com/top-internet-scams-a-z-list-20621...

Check these out and see if you are familiar with any of them.

My message is Buyer Beware.

Do not allow yourself to be conned and part with your money before making use of these sites and get yourself fully informed on their legitimacy before parting with a single cent .

I am guilty of chasing rainbows, wasting time and money chasing after some of those alluring schemes only to end up the poorer. Just like everyone of you, I want to make an income online. I know you do or you would not be on this site.

However I learned the hard way and never again will I sign up for anything without first doing a thorough check of their legitimacy and ethics. We can help each other with this, perhaps we could collectively make a list of scammers. With so many members in Wealthy Affiliate, I am sure we could do some damage and help others to avoid being taken in.

Let's declare them Guilty!

Yep. Yep

The internet is like our oceans that are full of plastic. We can't be sure what we are really consuming.

You are so right

I so agree Freisia, everywhere someone is trying to scam all over the place. Thanks.

Like I said above, the internet is like our oceans and rivers, full of plastic. We really do not know what we are consuming.

We learn from experience.

We sure do, but unfortunately we do not always learn from other peoples experience.

Until we tried it by ourselves the efficacy of learning is less.

So true, shout it from the rooftops...we work too hard to lose money to scams
